Single You Out: Little Vic – The Squeeze

To all the blogs that do not post the music of Little Vic…here’s a professional middle finger cast in  your direction.  How can you not post this man’s music?  Damn it.  Excuse the rant but Little Vic  doesn’t get half the credit he deserves for being a gifted lyricist.  And it’s on tracks like these, where he just flexes his gift, that you can really see the sun shine so to speak. Supa Dave is on the boards…

Can’t wait for the album…

Supastition – Yada Yada (prod. by Marco Polo)

I can’t tell you how excited I am to hear this new Supastition cut.  It’s like he hasn’t even missed up beat since he left the game a couple of years ago.  When I got wind of his ‘retirement’ I was genuinely disheartened.  It was then I knew, that if we don’t support these artists, they may just disappear.  I am glad he’s back though and this time he has the venerable Marco Polo behind the boards.  The general message:  A lot of people are claiming to be king but to Supa it all sounds like Yada Yada.

Supastition’s new project, The Blackboard EP, will be dropping on January 15th for FREE as a thank you to all those who supported him after he abruptly left the scene.

The AbSoulJah – The Real Type (Video)

The ill combination of The AbSoulJah and Soulslicers are responsible for this track and video right here.  These two also happen to be two of the most underrated artists in the game.  I have long been a fan of The AbSoulJah’s flow and street-centered lyricism and the Soulslicers had me hooked on their album, Boost Da Soul.

This track will be featured on two projects, The AbSouljah’s new album, Dim The Light and Soulslicers’ Slice Of Life mixtape.   The AbSoulJah also put me on ot th efact that he has a Free EP dropping at the end of the year.  You are going to want to stay tuned for that.

Single You Out: DJ Grazzhoppa – Introduction (ft. M-Dot)

Grazz _Introduction_ (ART)

If there’s one thing that I have learned in 2012, it’s that cuts from DJ Grazzhoppa makes any track better.  He’s added his flavor to dozens of songs this year with expert chopping.  But the man is also an excellent producer and this is one of many examples.  In celebration of the vinyl release of his album, Intricate Moves 2, he releases this joint with M-Dot.  And although M-Dot and Grazzhoppa need no introduction in these parts it’s still a good choice.

ILL WERD & XP (Rhyme Addicts) – We Here (prod by Dee Metto)

Dee Metto shot this jam over to me via Twitter and it sounds good too me.  Dee Metto has been consistent in 2012 dropping banging production and working with dope artists.  Now I am admittedly not familiar with Ill Werd & XP but they have that grimy flow to rock over this hard production and I can get behind that.

This song will be coming off of their collaborative project, 3TheHardWay which has not said date with the exception of being forthcoming.
