This my friends could have been the soundtrack for the end of the world. This doomsday production comes to us courtesy of Wildchild. Enjoy…
The man who dropped the Single Of The Year in 2011 is back at it in the latter part of this year, prepping his next project, Busy Is My Best Friend II. This song is the anti-thesis of C.R.E.A.M. in the observations of Silent Knight. Can he get us to drop that ‘cash first’ mentality? Well, I can tell you the song is fresh, contains dope lyricism, and a well intentioned message. Check it…
Swerve is that man right now in my opinion. The songs that Swerve and SYG are offering up right now are incredible. If you are a fan of hip hop you are going to love this music. These are relate able rhymes combined with an almost bluesy feel in the production. But here’s the caveat, they need our help in order to finish their vision for what the forthcoming album Cold Winter & War Whiskeys 2 should be. They want to put out a premium product and need some investment from their listeners (family) so they can see this project through. So they are charging $1.29 for the song. Of course this is an investment, so please feel free to contribute more. For $20.00 they will send you a signed physical copy of the album when it is released. What I would like to see from my readership is at least a $5.00 donation to the cause to help promote good music. Because without our assistance in some capacity…this good music is going away…
I like Sommy Lovell’s style. It’s unlike any other I can think of right now. It’s subtle in it’s message and voice but musically quite powerful. I definitely respect this artist’s perspective. There’s lots of great instrumentation going on here as well to go along with thought provoking lyricism.
It’s yet another Friday in the month of December which means we are going digging in the vaults of Mr. Peet Caliber. If you haven’t been paying attention the last couple of weeks, you have been missing out. Caliber’s extremely proficient at dropping banger after banger. Here at HHD we value lyricism and beats that knock and that’s exactly what our man delivers…consistently.
HeavyMetal Jackets continues that trend with hard rhymes and production. Enjoy…
Dro Pesci returns with some heat from his collaborative album with Mr. Stroke, Real In The Field. This is just one of those grimy, street bangers that’s bound to fly heads. It’s also got two of my favorite guests emcees dropping bars, the unheralded Halfabrick and the hard working Ruste Juxx. There here to give you that work…
This my friends is my favorite track off of JR&PH7’s The Good Life. In my mind, The Kid Daytona’s smooth flow perfect compliments the production style of JR&PH7. This is something to vibe to for the holidays…simply lean back….
Dub MD got me tuned in to these fellas and while the video is from over 6 months ago, I am sharing it now because Bedlam Brethren’s project, Black Feather Messengers is really dope. I gave it the once over yesterday and this is a really tight album. It’s very dark and the samples used for each song are impeccable. It was really dope. This is one of the cuts from the album. If you like this, consider copping their project. It is well worth the dolo.
This is an unreleased joint from Apollo Brown and Guilty Simpson. Quite frankly it’s just as dope as the cuts from the album, Dice Game. Go out and cop that album if you have not already.
