Haha. I love the whole idea of this song. The way Doc Hollywood flipped that Seal sample from, Kiss From A Rose, is on pont. Ras Kass, of course, is one of the best emcees in the game, hands down. I won’t take too much time to describe a three track Christmas release. I do want to say that this is a MUST LISTEN to project. Louie Rubio from Doc Hollywood produced these tracks and I really like how he used the yule tide flavor on this joint.
The highlight of this little gem is Ras Kass’ verses on Jack Frost II. I haven’t heard my favorite emcee spit these type bars in a long time. He as always had that knack for dropping intelligent rhymes without sounding like an encyclopedia, but here he just goes bar after bar dropping knowledge. I haven’t heard this type of flow since Nature Of The Threat.
This song is no joke. I am not laughing. Planet Asia and Ras Kass coupled with Torae and Jasiri X? Ah hell. This song is a banger in every sense of the word. The beat by REL!G!ON is next level. There is nothing to dislike about this track unless you simply hate hip hop.
Ummm…new material that features Ras Kass? Yes please. The Waterproof Emcee delivers once again along side Doc Hollywood for, Burning Man. Apparently the duo have an LP dropping entitled, Spit No Evil. I am not sure of the release date yet on this, but you know the deal. You can count me in to cop this when it drops…
Ras Kass is my favorite artist of all time. He encompasses everything it means to be an a great emcee. This track shows Ras Kass at his best. Obviously he is dropping his commentary on recent events and there is no one iller at doing that. He certainly was on his grind the last few days to get this track out so recently. Also you have to give a shout out to Judah for the dope production. I like the military cadence in the background.
