Latest video from Poe Mack and D.R.U.G.S. Beats’ collaborative album, Poe Mack On D.R.U.G.S. Poe Mack is thinner and lighter and his projects sell faster than flameless candles. (You’ll either get it or you won’t.)
Kyle Hubbard- Even Though It Shines (Video)
Kyle Hubbard is that dude in Texas right now. The hopes of my state ride, in part, on this man’s back. He constantly puts out quality music that people can relate to and does it in the freshest ways possible. This cut is off of his highly acclaimed album, You’re Not That Special which dropped in early 2013.
..a blog is not a God, no matter how they frame it…
Trek Life – Just The Music (Video)
You are now in tune to the smooth vibes of Trek Life and Duke Westlake. This joint makes me feel good. It’s got a great vibe with lyrics that any hip hop fan would relate to. The video single is coming of the collaborative EP, Hometown Foreigner.
Demigodz – Raiders Cap (Video)
“Old school…got my Raider’s cap…” That’s the anthem on this cut from the Demigodz impressive KILLmatic album. We’ve talked about it before in the album review, but this track is produced by Apathy, and he did a hella of a job on this joint. The video is also a little old school that features a cameo from Xzibit. Cop this album if you have not already and peep the review.
Alpha Faktion -Truth,Lies & Audiotape (Video)
Gimme some more of that good old fashioned boom bap, fellas! This reminds me of some older Nonphixion material and that’s a good thing. It has those raw rhymes and beat with those political overtones. I am definitely feeling the music coming from Alpha Faktion. Their EP dropping under the same name as this song is dropping on May 21st and you are going to want to catch that.
Toke – Get Em (Video)
I really shouldn’t have to say too much about this video. It was real well done. The music and the rhymes were definitely dope. Toke has got all of the intangibles to make this music thing pan out. An EP should be dropping in the summer. Stay tuned.
The bottom line to this song…stay faithful people…stay faithful.
The Antihero Project – Dark Renaissance (Video)
This video was released a month ago but I just now caught it. I think this is innovative in terms of the video, and on point when it comes to production and rhymes. I like the whole “Mission Impossible” take on the video.
The Antihero Project is comprised of the following, Mehdi Cee, Johnny Illdigger, and Logic Johnson.
Because I though the music was so good I think I am going to give the album a spin. What do you all think?
Big O – Ticking Timebomb (Video) (Prod. by Stu Bangas)
HHD is proud to debut this video for, Ticking Timebomb. We’ve been talking about Big O on HHD for a year now at least. Lets get the word out regarding this talent coming out of Cleveland, Ohio. He’s offering a different sound than the Midwest might be known for typically. He’s got a punishing technique and delivery that is only amplified when you combine his talents with that of, Stu Bangas.
“You spit raps like you want to spoon or cuddle..” Haha. Ain’t that the truth! If you want the raw and uncut, and a break from the fru-fru, then this joint is for you.
Big O’s LP, Gravel Engagement, entirely produced by 4th Assassin is dropping this summer.
DJ Duke – Who (ft. Shabaam Sahdeeq) (Video)
This particular video single is coming off of DJ Duke’s forthcoming album, Here Comes The City Brother. That project is dropping this September. Now the beat isn’t going to be anything that sticks in my head. It’s a little to minimal for me. But it does have Shabaam Sahdeeq on the mic device and that’ll get my attention.
