Awon & Phonics have this new album out entitled, Return To The Golden Era. By virtue of the title’s name you should no what’s the aim of the album and the sound it’s trying to accomplish. It is really tight all the way through and if you are digging the sound of, Midas Touch, you ought to check out the whole project. The production and the flows do not let you down at any point.
I just posted this single a few days ago, and yes I was late on it. Now the video is here and I am right on time. Mr. Live and Earl Blaize liven up the part on this sleepy subway ride in the NYC. This looks like a fun video to have shot, and the birthday hats added sublime flavor. Don’t sleep on Mr. Live…he is dishing up something proper come September.

Anyway…this joint is the best track, in my humble opinion, off of Virtuoso’s joint venture with the Snowgoons, CoVirt Ops: Infantry. If you like those hard hitting snares and tough rhymes, this album is for you. Also bear witness to M-Dot’s verse…dude shines every time he blesses the MIC.
The Almighty is back with a new line up but with the same lyrical potency. It’s a pretty diverse group of emcees with Vinnie Paz, Bronze Nazareth, Canibus, and Planet Asia teaming up but it comes together pretty cohesive.
The new album, The 2nd Coming, is dropping on August 13th and has a grip of ill features on it. I am going to check it out for sure.
This is why I love hip hop. Adlib puts that emotion into each and every bar while the director of video really makes it personal for us as viewers to have him holding a child in one scene and a gun in the other. He talks about real struggle and the ups and downs of life. What more can a real fan ask for other than real music?

I have been sitting on this for about a week, waiting for the opportune time to drop it on the site and it kept getting bumped. But I am putting an end to the stalling now. Nostic links up with Maryland producer Chisom Uzosike to give y’all a soulful jam about overcoming life’s obstacles no matter what might occur. I am not sure where this track is from or destined to be, but it’s definitely worth sharing. The production is coming from Soul Professa and as you can see from the title we have 9th Prince and Inspectah Deck in charge of bar droppin’. The cut is a concoction of soul, funk, and grime, so if that sounds good to you, make sure you cop the single. I especially like the way the Professa chops up the production between the 16s. Dope.
I had missed this track from a few weeks ago and it’s too dope just to leave it to chance that you may have caught it by now. The beat by Digerati is really a showstopper. The bass line on this track is pulsating while he incorporates so many other different sounds. The electronica almost sounds like it was lifted from an early Nintendo video game. While all this is going on Thesis43 and Apathy execute their verses to perfection.
