Soul Khan is back in force with the backing of the Audible Doctor to bring you that BBAS flavor. The doctor lays a super soulful foundation for Soul Khan to build bar upon bar. Even though his music has been more sporadic over the course of the last couple of years, it is no less potent.
Single You Out: Blak Flag – Cold (Prod. by Sherm Larock)
So far, Blak Flag is impervious to even the average flow. EVERYTHING this emcee has dropped has been perfection. This spit is just plain fire (ironic, I know) He’s got insane flows…for instance, check his Styles P line towards the end of the second verse. And don’t get me started with this beat from Sherm Larock…this joint is beyond solid and I NEED an album….SOON.
Single You Out: Supreme Cerebral x Born Unique x Banish Habitual – Massacre (Prod. By Clypto)
Some new, new from producer Clypto’s (I am presuming since I can not find it yet) forthcoming project, #TheLoop. This is some rough stuff right here. The production is pretty straightforward, allowing emcees Supreme Cerebral, Born Unique, and Banish Habitual leave a wake of carnage on the track.
When I get more information on the project, I will let you know.
Single You Out: GQ Nothin Pretty – High Quota (ft. Tragedy Khadafi)
Oh you want a banger! I got your banger right here with the new single, High Quota, from GQ Nothin Pretty featuring Tragedy Khadafi. The beat from DJ Tray is one of the heaviest yet in 2017. And the bars…oh these bars are like a musical massacre in the headphones.
If the rest of the new album, Animations, is remotely close to the quality of this track, we are in for a treat.
Single You Out: Asylum Lifetime & Tone Benjaminz – Sink Or Swim
Asylum Lifetime and Tone Benjaminz unleash a heat rock in the form of Sink Or Swim. A pulsing beat with raw rhymes will tread some new ground in the mental. It’s that heavy hitting sound that endears itself to HHD readership. Everything I have heard from Asylum Lifetime has been fire and this is no exception.
Single You Out: John Reilly – The Art of Getting Shot Down (Produced by Rediculus)
John Reilly narrates three stories of rejection in the romance game over a production from Rediculous. Reilly addresses every man’s worst nightmare from Elementary School to High School, but then hits you with word of perseverance on the third verse. This is a refreshing track to be sure.
DJ Ready Cee – Impala (ft. El Gant x J.Blanc) (Video)
Some new music from DJ Ready Cee featuring El Gant and J. Blanc, hit the inbox and when that happens, it’s always worth sharing. El Gant spits some gasoline over this fire production from Ready Cee. I love the sounds he cultivated on this joint, in particular that horn sample!
Always good stuff!
Single You Out – Marlon Craft – Empathy
I was searching through someone’s Twitter feed for something and I came across this artist, Marlon Craft. There was a picture of him rocking’ a crowd and I thought I would check him out. I am left considering him a force to reckoned with. HIs style is really different and the production he uses has a very jazzy vibe. I think he is a unique talent to be sure. Check out the rhymes on this track.
Single You Out: Illmac – Second Wind (prod. by Chase Moore)
Illmac and Chase Moore team up again and release abounding goodness with the single, Second Wind. And forgive me, but if Illmac needed a second wind, he didn’t show it. He has been killing the game. And if he has gotten a second wind then the rest of the industry should be put on notice. This song is something else. If you are blessed with a nice day today, roll the windows down in the whip, and ride to this. This is certain dope!
Single You Out: Jonwayne – Ted Talk
Jonwayne has received a lot of acclaim from hip hop fans but admittedly I had never heard him. I think this will change after hearing this track, Ted Talk. It’s clearly hip hop inspiration coming at you. The track is not only dark and sinister but exceptionally interesting with the breaks, scratches, and different tones heard through out. Wayne, with a conversational style, actually sounds like he could be on stage giving you, well….a Ted Talk.
The album Rap Album Two is dropping next Friday. I am going to check it out.
