Single You Out: Staalin – F.R.W.L

I have been waiting for Staalin to drop some new music for the longest time.  He dropped one of the the hottest songs (strictly on a lyrical level), State Of Emergency, back in 2015.  I hadn’t heard anything since, and then this EP drops.  F.R.W.L. 2 is a really amazing release.  There are only seven cuts but they all range from the really good to the exceptional. Lyrically you would be hard pressed to beat the title track F.R.W.L. This man has bars!!

Y’all recreated a monster/ that’s sponsored/ without the energy drink,
My enemies think that I’m gone I’m back/ before they can blink.
Been the missing link in the chain/ before Lincoln came and unlinked,
The chains of the slaves/ at least that’s what all the history books say. Right?
Never liked me/ they like Staalin behave,

With all this venom I produce/ I’ll put dey youts in a grave,
So they aint gotta avenge they fathers death/ I spare them the shame. (Geeze)
My pictures/ sicker/ than Hitler/ at a bar mitzvah/ nigga,
Pulling a trigger/ while yelling mazeltov/ I’m a killa.
Call me Attila/ these rappers/ after the scrilla,
But they really don’t excite me/ they rapping pattern’s vanilla.
(ugh) Makes me wanna go back to the trap/ and tackle them down to the mat,
And slap em with vinyl/ like when Lion-o attacks.
These Thunder cats/ are just making noise when they rap,
With out the lightning/ they bout as frightening/ as two dykes in a bath.

Single You Out: Siyah – Iron Sharpens Iron (ft. Kingdom Kome)

I have featured Siyah on the site way back in 2013, but I recently received an email from him featuring a song from his new project, Steadfast.   I am glad he is making music still because this song is pretty dope, which in turn is going to make me cop the project.

This cut produced by iSample, is mellow but also has plenty of edge about it.  There is a definite spiritual element with this track.  Siyah is well versed in religious knowledge but it’s all done as a point of reference.  The track also features bars from Kingdom Kome.   All together very dope…

Single You Out: Organik Poisons – Respect Fire (ft. Spit Gemz x Mitchell Aims)

I had to re-showcase some material from this album, Chemical Monkeywrench, from Organik Poisons.  The song dropped almost a year ago, but the album was just recently released. I am really feeling the guitar licks and drums from the song Respect Fire.  Plus it features bars from the much respected Spit Gemz and Mitchell Aims.    This is some pure head not effect on here.

Definitely check the album,  it’s a dope listen that I don’t think should be left to go gently into the night.  Lots of bangers on deck here!

Single You Out: Cayoz – Fire & Ice (ft. Phoenix Pagliacci) (Prod. By O*Zee)

Cayoz is back to releasing personal fire in 2018.  Fire & Ice features production from long time collaborator O*Zee and vocals of Phoenix Pagliacci.  The music is the perfect mixture for Cayoz’ subject matter of relationships, and the good and bad that comes when you encounter people of different mindsets.  Each verse relates a different aspect of how opposing mental forces mingle together.  It’s clever and relatable, and memorable.

Single You Out: Forbidden Dialect – Old School

It’s really hard to believe that the last time I featured Forbidden Dialect was back in 2011.  That would make them one of my initial submissions back when we were back in our infancy.  I recently received an email from one of the members asking me to check out their new project, Wi-Fi on the South Side.    I did  a couple of days ago, and this album they put together is fantastic.   Some great rhyme, super production, well incorporated samples and GREAT all around song making.    I am going to hit you off with the track Old School and then hit you with an album review soon.  Check it!  The album is free!!!!!

Single You Out: Team Thoro – Abundant Thoughts

This is a release that snuck up on me which reminds me I really need to get up on my game since I am a huge Team Thoro supporter and have been for years.  Lord Of Kingz is an eight track odyssey that features the heavy hitting lyricism of AbSoulJah, Halfabrick, and Spicco.

Abundant Thoughts is a nice intro to the project and hopefully I will be able to hit you all off with a full review in the coming weeks. If you like this track, I all but guarantee you are going to feel the album.  Production is coming from Barz4thehood.
