The NSD team releases the first single for McNastee’s Pity Party Rockers which is now slated to be released on October 2nd. McNastee serves as the team’s crooner/lyricist and really promotes a different sound than the rest of the camp, or maybe it’s the sounds I associate most with NSD. Whatever the case, it’s a dope cut with production from the venerable DJ Bless.
Single You Out: Mayhem & Jerz – City High Rises (ft M-Dot, Chaundon, & B.A.M.)
This single is lifted from Mayhem’s latest project, MayJerzachusetts Island. I love the staccato horn on this track’s production as well as the well thought lyricism from the emcees. B.A.M.’s verse really knocks heads! The cuts from DJ LP2 are also a welcome addition. Good cutz can never be overstated.
Single You Out: Vinnie Paz – 7 Fires Of Prophecy (ft. Tragedy Khadafi)

New music from Vinnie Paz’s upcoming album, God Of The Serengeti, which is due out October 22nd. This reunites Vinnie Paz with Tragedy Khadafi who has appeared on previous Jedi Mind Tricks records. Beatnick Dee is on the boards providing the rough and rugged atmosphere that we continue to expect from the Pazmanian Devil.
Single You Out: Cayoz – Everybody’s Talking (ft. JaMoN)
This time Cayoz takes on the doubters and the naysayers over this smoothed out track. If you aren’t up on Cayoz at this point it’s time to study up. Here is a man who is showing and proving EVERY TIME he decides to unleash a track. He’s a very consistent, yet ill, emcee.
Single You Out: Pause Beats – Change That (ft. Destruct, Chaundon, Kastaway)
Pause Beats recruits some elite wordsmiths for his latest single, Change That. Destruct, Chaundon, and Kastaway drop some bars over a more laid back and jazzy vibe from producer Pause Beats. It sounds all good to me. I can’t wait for this man’s project to drop.
Single You Out: Gotham Green & Quickie Mart – Burn It Down (ft. Zeale, Jackie Tohn & Casey Abrams)
I am late to the party with this track but I wanted to share it with you anyway, just on the off chance you haven’t heard it yet. It’s one of my favorite tracks this year. DJ Quickie Mart puts together a superlative beat with congo/bongo percussion and the emcees all drop some nice gems on their verses. This song is just some feel good music with an uptempo vibe.
You can find this track on Haze Diaries Volume 4. It’s free and definitely worth your time and hard drive space.
Single You Out: DJ K.O. – Drunk Girls (ft. MadKem, Silent Knight & Jered Sanders)
New single from the EMPBeTheTeam album by DJ K.O. The emcees articulate stories about that girl who had a little too much to drink in the evening. The production mellow, perhaps even a little soulful, while lyrically it’s all just a little humorous to hear the emcees discussing their tales of the drunk girl.

Single You Out: Bekay – 15 Months Of Violins
Bekay has had enough! All the crazy thoughts going on in his head and the frustration of the last few months stored up, he goes for delf on his latest single. The song is edgy with no hook. Bekay just releases angst in the freshest way possible.
Enjoy…
Single You Out: Eff Yoo – RL Hunting Club (ft. Shaz Illyork and Starker)
The Legend Of The Gnome Sword needs to drop already! This is the third single we have featured and it too is very dope. It features one of the dopest artists out right now, Shaz Illyork. The production is low key but demonstrative enough so that the emcees all spit some heavy bars.
This is just the New York gritty we all need…

Single You Out: The Red Giants – Time 2 Roll
I still bump the last The Red Giants’ album, Chain Reaction. And this song proves to be a continuation of their past work. Jermiside is an extremely talented emcee with a quick delivery and concise wordplay that is always enjoyable. Brickbeats really shows out on the production though. He provides a bluesy hip hop vibe and switches up the beat periodically to keep the listener attentive.
The duo’s next project Supercharged will hopefully be hear soon…
