Journalist 103 (of The Left) is about to release his first solo album, Reporting Live. This is the second sampling off of that project that will drop on October 30th. On this joint, where the production is driven by the horns, Journalist 103 drops some observational thoughts in rhyme regarding politics and social issues. He comes across, not only as a talented emcee, but also as insightful. It’s a nice track that bodes well for his upcoming release.
This is some music inspired by the premier of Dexter’s upcoming season that starts on Sunday. But really the bottom line is that this is another joint for you to bang in your system over the weekend. Some ill material. The beat has an epic vibe to it and Tools and Famoso both drop some dramatic verse to capture the spirit of the production.
Here’s some resounding dopeness from DJ Dyllemma’s forthcoming project, Dyllemanade. Verses from personal favorite, Silent Knight, Tito Fuerte, and Kon Boogie compliment the slinking production and precise cuts of Dyllemma perfectly.
This is the hardest I’ve heard Pellegrino go in a while. This beat by J.Glaze is a monster too. It’s short but goes just too hard to ignore. It’s tagged on the Soundcloud page with ‘machinegunpelly’ so I am supposing this track will be on it. Enjoy…
I missed on an earlier joint that was sent to me regarding this artist, but I am not going to miss on this joint! Raiza Biza does this dusty jazz vibe very well. I was vibing off of this track through and through. Lyrically and stylistically, he is reminiscent of Versis or even Blu. He has an easy going, almost effortless, flow.
He is dropping a free album on October 7th entitled, Dream Something.
Some hard rhymes from Josiah The Gift over a beat from Sassoon. This is song serves as my intro to this artist and as such I am impressed. Definitely the type of music I embrace. The rhymes and the beat play well against each other. The rhyme style is aggressive and the beat is really somber. It comes together nicely.
My man, Dharmic X sent this track to me on the premises that I might like it. He was right. I love the melodic beat on this track. It’s almost hypnotic. Damn. Something great to vibe to. Not to many people can make this type of music, this extraordinary.
This track is almost 9 months old but I couldn’t hold that against posting it as a single now. Rob Yung is part of a four man collective known as The Soulstice. Another member, Ross Munroe put the production together. You can check their album HERE.
All hip hop right here! Superlative rhymes from Famoso and company (expected). J57 on the remix (bonus). DJ Modesty on the cuts (over the top type hip hop). All around great music.
This track is coming off of Famoso’s upcoming mix tape/teaser Before Tha’ Dope Comes. That’s going to be a rarities, b-sides, and freestyles compilation. Check for that if you like this track so we can all catch up on what Famoso has been up to.
More music from Awkword’s World View project. This time he leaves the guest work out of it and drops every bar himself. The production from ATG is a combination of hip hop and old west saloon music, but when DJ Dyllemma chops it up you get a complete hip hop vibe.
Drop this album, already! C’mon SKREWTAPE! I have enjoyed single after single off of Skumbag Millionaire and I am ready to hear the full length. This is just another banger, this time laced by none other than Mr. Green. This time Tame One and Nems FYL help keep the party moving by making heads roll. Good play off verses on this one…
