Singles, Albums, EPs, Mixtapes, and Videos that get the HHD thumbs up.
I credit The Arsonists for my early passion for hip hop and being that D-Stroy was/is a central figure in the group, it’s only right to support his solo endeavors. This track is dope regardless of who he is and stands on it’s own merits. Slaine lens his verbals to the mic and Statik Selektah is your maestro…enjoy…
This is track number 18 from Cymarshall Law and Mr. Joeker’s album, Hip Hop In The Soul 2. It’s a dope jam that breezes through the hustle this life takes from you…sleep is the cousin…
Some joints were just destined to hit hard, so what did you expect when you saw this line up? This joint is lifted from Nino Bless’ forthcoming project, R.O.A.M. 2. This joint is dark but also has a lot of different sounds going on. It has a little bit of rock influence and some choral components, but it is for sure that boom map!
Shabaam Sahdeeq grinding better and harder these days than pretty much anyone else. Certainly a top five artist in 2012 and builds on that reputation for 2013. This song is smooth, with a jazzy vibe. Rest assured you will enjoy…
“I am confident my God will rebuild me…” That’s real talk from the homie Peet Caliber. I am glad that I found out about this emcee. He spits realism and that’s what the game has been missing. This song is all about hope for the hopeless and picking yourself up when you fall. Hold on to something. Production is from LuvJonez.
FinaL OutlaW pays homage to the underground hip hop scene in New York. He names a few names, and their are a few cameos in the video, but more than that, the song is just so melodic and just simply good music.
I hope you enjoy…if you would like, here is the download link.
Alucard and IDE from the Creative Juices camp come thru and drop some ill visuals for this cut, Wall Of Troy. This joint can be found on the highly slept upon, Uncovered Remains. If you like the sound of this cut, I recommend picking the album up because it is all on par with this quality.
You remember Snake Hollywood from his EP My Condolences, right? That joint put him on the map and I back him as an artist without hesitation. You have to respect someone who is capable of melding art and intellect at a high level and that’s what this man has done more than once. Check this new track that’s produced by The Pogue Brothers and prepare to pause and rewind….
I am violating a cardinal rule by throwing this cut up today. I only put five a day on max (usually) but this time I had to be flexible with the rule. This track is too good not to share.
Hus Kingpin and Rozewood are lacing this track some of that atypical illness found these days. I particular feel the flow of Rozewood with the fiery delivery. But the whole vibe of the song made me want to rise up!
This joint can be found on the forthcoming collaborative project from the two entitled, $100Taper.
This music business is serious and these are some serious individuals on this track! This is some of that ‘gottdamn’ type music because you will be saying that a lot during the four minutes this track runs. Typ iLL, Peter Leo, and Little Vic showcase over this Velotz beat. This track has head nodder written all over it. (Oh and Vic’s verse if proof in point that he is one of the nicest in the game. Go ahead and tell me different!) Be warned…
