Singles, Albums, EPs, Mixtapes, and Videos that get the HHD thumbs up.
I first peeped Ruslan’s music when I head his collaboration with Blame One and Braille entitled, Domesticated. That was a really dope record. More recently, Ruslan dropped an album today entitled Carry On, and this is one of the lead singles for the project. It’s quite soulful and I think you will feel the uplifting vibe.
I have never heard of Real Talk, but Miami Beat Wave I know so I was bound to check this out and what I heard was one hot track. Miami Beat Wave always brings their unique brand of production and Real Talk showed ‘really’ well. They had some hot lines and an overall dope lyrical flavor.
This track can be found on Real Talk’s EP, Louder Than Words.
Well, here’s something that I consider concealed dope from the black hole known as my ‘inbox’. The track fuses great production and some tight rhyme schemes. Really feeling this…
Fundamental is an emcee and producer from Toronto. And this track is his from front to back. He spits the bars and crafts the beat. Very nice work indeed.
This track is a part of his upcoming mixtape, Expected Everywhere: Vol. 2.
This single comes live and direct from Koncept’s Malt Disney project as a bonus cut. I am assured this project will be mind blowing. If this song is any indication, we are on the right track for that sentiment.
This cut features Reks and is a little on the funky side with Deejay Element operating behind the boards. Very dope.
I usually never post a project without some sort of review but this is really important. Supastition is back! He is one of my all-time favorite emcees. He was retired from the game a couple of years ago but after some conversations with his contemporaries, he is back at it again. That is to every hip hop head’s benefit!
The Blackboard EP is his first salvo after coming back to the game. You can download this for free, but that’s not what this is about. This is about true fans of hip hop supporting good music. I encourage my readership to drop at least $5 in the man’s pocket. Show him that people still care and support. He makes great music, just listen below…
(I will be posting a review of this project next week…so look for that!)
New video from The Legend Of The Gnome Sword by Eff Yoo. Spit Gemz and AG Da Coroner contribute some tough bars to the cut. Golden Child on the beat. Overall, it’s just a win. As always, if you are feeling this cut, make sure you cope the album!
I credit The Arsonists for my early passion for hip hop and being that D-Stroy was/is a central figure in the group, it’s only right to support his solo endeavors. This track is dope regardless of who he is and stands on it’s own merits. Slaine lens his verbals to the mic and Statik Selektah is your maestro…enjoy…
This is track number 18 from Cymarshall Law and Mr. Joeker’s album, Hip Hop In The Soul 2. It’s a dope jam that breezes through the hustle this life takes from you…sleep is the cousin…
Some joints were just destined to hit hard, so what did you expect when you saw this line up? This joint is lifted from Nino Bless’ forthcoming project, R.O.A.M. 2. This joint is dark but also has a lot of different sounds going on. It has a little bit of rock influence and some choral components, but it is for sure that boom map!
Shabaam Sahdeeq grinding better and harder these days than pretty much anyone else. Certainly a top five artist in 2012 and builds on that reputation for 2013. This song is smooth, with a jazzy vibe. Rest assured you will enjoy…
