Single You Out: R-Swift – Problem

It’s funny that his single is premiering on HHD the same day as post the Quadir Lateef review for Fool’s Gold.   R-Swift is reiterating the same sentiments as Lateef in many ways.  He too recognizes the ills of the record industry and the type of image they are trying to promote.  Really relevant material.  If you are diggin this track, he has an album that was recently released entitled,   Apply Pressure.

…we almost lose our life to the ignorance we promote…

Single You Out: Peter Leo x DJ Concept – Liquor Store

Sometimes our survival has it’s vices and Peter Leo is here to address them with the DJ Concept produced track, Liquor Store.   Leo strikes me as a young artist whose life has run the gamut .   He’s seen and done some things, and he’s not afraid to discuss them with us as a listener.  On September 10th, we are going to get to hear what his story has to offer us in the form of Young Baby Father.

Tug McRaw – Surrender (Video)

Tug McRaw recently dropped this video single from his most recent project, Language Arts Vol. 3.  McRaw invites people into his home for the video, only so they can wave the white flag of appreciation for his musical capabilities.  He is one of those artists that everyone should know about.   So study up and go through his discography.  He has a bunch of ill projects already to his credit and some new material in the works that I can’t wait to hear.

Skrewtape – Backyard Boogaloo (ft. MiilkBone) (Video)

I don’t need to be sold on that Skrewtape sound.  I am already a fan.  One thing I have noticed is that every beat I have head him on has knocked.  He has a keen ear for that dope production.  This time rocks this rhythm with Miilkbone who I keep seeing doing work as of late.  It’s a dope track.  If you are interested in copping the album, Skumbag Millionaires,  you can contact him via Twitter.   It was $12 for a special digital download and a physical copy of the CD, and while I have not been able to give the entire project a listen, rest assured every track I have heard thus far is of this caliber.

Single You Out: Macabeats – The 6th Sense (ft. Slum Pritt x Mitch L Hennessy x Dj Grazzhoppa) (prod. by Cool FD)

This is the kind of joint that can carry you through a weekend!  Really dope production from Cool FD (formerlly Keno Beats) and chopping of the cut by DJ Grazzhoppa.  All the emcees  do an impressive job with their verses making this track very memorable.  It has a little bit of everything but this beat is really going to stick with you for a hot minute.

Single You Out: Rediculous – Iron Fist (ft. Blaq Poet)

This song hits like, well, and Iron Fist!  Rediculous really shows his chops on this beat.  He’s got an ill bass line and some neck-snapping drums as well as some excellent chopping of the samples.  And what about Blaq Poet you say?  When have you ever hear Blaq Poet come remotely weak or soft?   When this man touches mic he’ going for the jugular.  This is that banger you have been looking for.

Single You Out: Skeezo – The Mission

Skeezo

Skeezo ain’t done yet with 2013…not by a long shot.  After releasing one of the dopest EPs of 2013, Face Value, he delivers yet another banger.   He’s definitely showing without a doubt that his passion for making music is back in full effect.  Crazy DJ Bazarro composes a laid back and jazzy track that enables Skeezo to continue on with The Mission.   However, the mission is just a small sampling of his upcoming project Stuck In The 90s.
