Single You Out: Crisis – The Cycle (ft. Rec Raw & Sahm) (prod. by 4th Assassin)

The track’s producer 4th Assassin knows I am fond of his work so he shot me this track featuring a crew that’s new to me, Good Money.   And by the name (I am not fond of the word Money making it into people’s names) I thought it would at best be so-so, but  the crew show and proves with some introspective material that also makes the neck snap.   So we can’t argue with that.   This was a pleasant surprise for me.  I hope to learn more about the team in the future.

Single You Out: Al’Tarba & DJ Nix’On – Funny Games (ft. Dirt Platoon, King Magnetic, and Bonnie Li)

If you haven’t been able to figure this out from my other posts and features:  I LOVE the production that is coming out of France.  There is so much talent coming from our European brethren and a lot of it is incorporated in the name, Sick Digger Crew.  The group is compromised of beatsmiths, Al’Tarba, DJ Nix’on, Junior Makhno, Ugly Tony, Fonka, Mistamaff, Ganjak, and I.N.C.H.   Three of those aforementioned names have been featured on HHD numerous times before.   They are crafting a FREE project for us to enjoy entitled Overlords.  As soon as I have a release date for that I will be sure to pass it on, meanwhile enjoy this banger featuring King Magnetic, Dirt Platoon, and Bonnie Li.  This music is serious!

Bo Jankans – Wicked Looking Gun (Video)

Man, the homie J-Scrilla aka Scrilla Ventura is always sending me some dope music that he concocts with some dope emcees.   This time he hits me with a track/video that he creates with Bo Jankans called Wicked Looking Gun.  The track is demented enough that I enjoyed it thoroughly.   The video and storyline keeps you interested.  The beat from Ventura keeps you on that razor’s edge.  It’s kind of like a home-brewed cup of evil.  And Jankans’ ability is an emcee can’t be undersold.  The man can narrate a story, and even though this is the first I have heard from him I will be checking for his new project The MotorMouth EP.

Single You Out: SGT. Over – I’m Thru (ft. Ras Kass)

SGT. Over ain’t even close to being done.  He is hustling hard and now he’s really stepping up the feature game by including one of my all time favorite emcees, Ras Kass.    That actually takes a lot of guts, because Ras will son a lot of people who invite him on the mic, but Sarge does what he always does and he elevates his flow and lyrics to new heights to the point where he shines just as bright.   BasementBeatz laces the emcees with a hype, uptempo production that proves an ample canvas for the duo to craft their rhymes.

Single You Out: Gripz – I Do Me (prod. by Anno Domini)

Let me re-introduce my readership to Gripz.  This man was one of my favorite indie emcees as of two years ago.  He released a couple of mixtapes and countless dope freestyles.   For a while, he has been in the background, handling his business, but now he has resurfaced with this Anno Domini produced banger.  His flow is still as relentless as ever, and is definitely something that you all should enjoy.   In my mind, if Gripz keeps on his grizzle hard, he could make a huge leap in 2013/2014.  Poetic LIiterature Vol. 3 is in the works.  Believe!

Friday Feature: Printz Of Peepz x Face Valyou – Fuel

FuelPromo

This is the third out of four features for Printz Of Peepz and this time he brings us a new collaborative joint with the artist  Face Valyou.   The concept is taking life’s events and processing them as motivation to pursue your goals.  t’s giving us that positive momentum.  The smooth production also comes courtesy of Face Valyou showing you another facet of his talents.    The track shows the diversity of Printz Of Peepz as an emcee as well, proving that not only can he just drop nice bars with social/conscious intent, but kick something fresh and positive.

(On a side note: I checked out Face Valyou’s album,  When It Clicks, and I think it’s worth you checking out too.  Always nice to see new, fresh talent.  Respect)

Single You Out: AGE – The Combined Work Of A Trillion Cells To Work As A Single Body

artworks-000059512868-ql826d-t500x500

Yeah.  It’s a hell of a name for a singe, but it’s also one hell of a track.  It’s very different then what I have been hearing as of late.  The production is simplistic, in a good way, because the material and subject matter is sophisticated.  I am sure that it may be over the top for some people but I think it’s a pretty refreshing deviation from the norm without being too pretentious.  It’s actually really clever.  The emcee’s name is AGE.  The production is handled by Seraph.  The forthcoming mixtape is called Been Weird Since I Looked In The Mirror.  (I love it.)

Single You Out: Eddie B. – Nike Slogans (ft. Shabaam Sahdeeq & Chace Infinite)

artworks-000060277299-qy1pdh-t500x500

I just listened to the five track EP from Eddie B. and Harry Fraud, The Johnny Utah Story, and it’s incredibly tight.  The project is a prelude to their collaborative album dropping in November, Paper, Piff, and Polos.  If the album is just as strong as these cuts it could instantly be a contender for Album Of The Year and that’s not overstepping.  It’s that good.

Nike Slogans is one of those five tracks from the EP and features NYC veteran Shabaam Sahdeeq and west coast, Self Scientific emcee, Chace Infinte.  It’s simply brilliant.
