The Brown Bag AllStars are back accompanied by The Alkholiks’ Tash for their new cut, 11 Steps. The production is orchestrated by Kev Brown. Everything really comes together for this cut as it comes complete with a slick beat, fresh rhymes, and an assortment of debauchery.
I hope there is more in store from the camp. My record collection needs a boost.

Now this is a good comination: The Audible Doctor and Silent Knight have proved unbelievable chemistry. You can reference their number one track about four years back, Stayin’ Busy. The Audible Doctor fires up the boom bap, the organ, and the proper intermingling of a soulful, almost sorrowful, vocal sample. There’s also just something about the way Silent Knight relates is life and ideas that just resonates with me. He’s trying to make money along with making art. This song is going to stick with me for a while.

The Audible Doctor just dropped the latest project in his ‘seasonal’ series, entitled The Spring Tape. The EP is only four tracks deep but there’s a lot packed into those four tracks musically. The track that I wanted to touch on is Danger featuring Hus Da Kingpin and Tragedy Khadafi. This is a track that blends both tough and smooth elements to create something that stands alone. You have each of the emcees killing their assigned verses while The Audible Doctor composes a horn laden cascading rhythm. Beautiful indeed…
The Audible Doctor is protecting what is his til the death on his latest track, The Burial Plot. The track is equal parts dark and entertaining and I like this direction he has taken for his latest release. The hook by Davenport Grimes is the subtle nuance needed to separate those verses being simple and not overpowering. The project, Can’t Keep The People Waiting, is due out this month.
This is a great song! I knew Snak The Ripper was a talented emcee but this is a great track that everyone can relate to. Everyone throws around the phrase “…that’s karma”, but Snak The Ripper puts the word to proper use over another impeccable Audible Doctor banger! I believe The Ripper’s new album drops on Tuesday? The Audible Doctor has been putting together a lot of visuals this year, and I don’t mind. Dirty Nigga is one of my favorite tracks off of The Audible Doctor’s, The Summer Tape. The chemistry with Chaundon is undeniable. I honestly would like to see an EP/Project between the two of them. They really compliment each other’s styles very well.

It’s amazing what you can do with a mere five tracks. Theo3 was an unknown emcee to me prior to three months ago. Now, with just the work of those five tracks, his music and sound is ingrained in my mind. That’s what we shall call a deep impact.
Piano induced Audible Doctor production leads the way for Fredro Starr on this joint. And what was once supposed to be a small EP between the two has now become an album set to drop later this year. That’s going to be dope!
Smooth really doesn’t hit the tip of the ice berg when describing this joint. First, this beat should bring a smile to anyone listening, young and old alike. It’s mellow, jazzy, and just plain fun. It’s ok to have a good time making and listening to music. Something that I think both bloggers and artist alike can meditate on for a moment. Secondly, you’ve got The Audible Doctor, Oddisee, and Hassan Mackey kicking rhymes collectively. How can we not win?
