Al-One must’ve been fiending for something funky, because that’s exactly what !LLMIND provided him with. It’s hard to make it any funkier without James Brown actually blessing the track himself. This is about three minutes worth of a good time placed into a song. I am not sure if this is part of a bigger project but we can hope…
I am guessing this is another single from the album, Ill & Only though I could of course be wrong. Regardless it’s dope. Chase Moore is killing it with these beats while Bigg K also represents with Illmaculate and OnlyOne. Fresh like __________________! (use your imagination)
This EP is probably flying pretty low on the radar but I am about to bring truth to the light so to speak. Anything OnlyOne puts out gets posted on the regular here on HHD. We also featured 9DM here a couple of years ago with his collaboration with Lawz Spoken, You’ll Never Be Famous. That project was impressive. This one is equally so. It’s short, sweet, and FREE. You’ve also got dope production from Hippie Sabotage and Chase Moore. OnlyOne and 9DM are vets in the battle scene and they bring that combative element to their music as well. Their lyrics do not compromise and they hit opponents and listeners the same…mercilessly. The two soundlcoud singles are below although my favorite tracks from the project are the last two: Robbed A Bank and Stole A Car. The production on those songs are exceptional.

No. I haven’t listened to it all yet. I just saw it was available and immediately wanted to share it with you. The three singles that were released earlier and OnlyOne’s previous works alone merit that you download this FREE release. So stop hemming and hawing and get this one on are your hard drive immediately. I will do a more proper write up later, but for now just enjoy the music.

His superlative skill, creative knack, and unique wordplay made him an easy choice for this month’s selection. His recent release, Secondhand Smoke, produced by Pmpee just dropped and was reviewed here a few weeks ago made the timing even more perfect. The most unique member of the Sandpeople crew, Goldini Bagwell, has finally released the sequel to his criminally slept on Chainsmoke album. And while not as deep in terms of the number of tracks on the project, it’s equal in it’s artistic potency.
Once again the production is fielded by Pmpee Beats out of Finland (I think, no for sure. He’s from Finland). The cohesion between producer and emcee at this point is seamless. They now have two projects under their belts and the two are always on time and in sync throughout the course of each song.

Sandpeople in full effect today! I copped both OnlyOne and Al-One’s projects this morning and got listen to both. They are both very short but solid projects. OnlyOne’s is a bit more grimey, while Al-One’s involves more debauchery. But both are worth your loot for sure. In particular, my favorite off of this short project is the lead track, Walter White. If you are going to be the boss, you’ve got to play your part and Al-One does this amply.
Give it a listen, and if you enjoy, contribute the necessary $5 and add this to your collection. That’s exactly what I did…

I hate to beat a dead horse here but when are people going to fully appreciate what OnlyOne can do on the mic? To quote from his previous project with Furtado Yuen…he’s “so professional”. I am not going to do a full review of this EP, but I did want to let you know that it dropped and hit some highlights.
Furtado Yuen and OnlyOne have cooked up some good chemistry in the lab and it’s only natural that they breathe life into another musical endeavor. Yuen’s style is based on a lot of electronic rhythms and bass. It comes across really powerful with OnlyOne’s deliberate cadence and delivery. His pen game is exceptional. I like the whole EP, but the first three cuts are the strongest with the aforementioned Monster’s Ink being the showstopper.
The project is free but if you like good music, you should contribute. Let artists know that you appreciate their efforts. I say drop $5 in their pockets and let them know that Hip Hop Dependency sent you.
Alright! Goldini Bagwell’s Secondhand Smoke gets the visual treatment and a morbid ending at that. Dope song…dope visuals…from a dope crew. Right now, Sandpeople are one of the few crews who are consistently putting out dope music from a variety of members. If you are not a fan, you are not a friend. The new EP will be available May 7th…just so you know.
