As Reks and Hazardis Soundz prepare to unleash their Eyes Watching God album in July, they unleash what is sure to be one of the years biggest of bangers. Soundz turns it up with horns and an interesting synth backdrop. Reks, Fredro Starr, and Ruste Juxx take you through a little piece of hell with each of their bars. I love how the track gets a little more low key on Juxx’s verse as he is one of the most high energy emcees in the game. A really great collabo altogether.
Ruste Juxx – Off The Hinges (ft. Rock) (Video)
Ruste Juxx and VStheBest continue to bless with more music from their 2013 album, Ready To Juxx. The track, Off The Hinges, gives us a little bit of a bonus with what I will consider some rare bars from Rock. I have always loved his style. His voice and the way he constructs a verse blesses every track he touches, including this one.
Ruste Juxx – Gimme Da Loot (Video)
Very few people work as hard as Ruste Juxx does. He always optimizes each and every project he does. We always get tons of dope visuals from him along with a grip of singles. That way there should be no reason for you NOT to cop his new album. Gimme Da Loot is off of his latest album, Ready To Juxx which was produced entirely by VS The Best. The story, it turns out, is prompted by a stolen umbrella. Go figure.
Ruste Juxx – Countdown To Def (Video)
Ruste Juxx is one of the most prolific artists in the industry today. The man is always busy, always grindin’. Today we’ve got the latest video single from the album, Ready To Juxx, entitled Countdown to Def. The production strikes me as light-hearted and almost playful, while Juxx simply murks it as standard fair. As with any Ruste Juxx release this album is a must check.
Ruste Juxx – Everyday Hustle (Video)
Ruste Juxx is gearing up to release his new project entitled, Ready To Juxx, which is a reinterpretation of Biggie’s classical album, Ready To Die. Everyday Hustle is the first shot fired from that project. Ruste Juxx (Artist Of The Year 2012) continues to perform at a high level so I have no doubt that the new album will be exceptional. It has to be if you are stepping where Biggie once tread. The album is slated for a September 24th release.
Ruste Juxx & Shae Money – Over Here (Video)
Our 2012 Artist Of The Year, Ruste Juxx stays busy by linking up with producer Shae Money. Ruste Juxx is a known quantity. You are know, without a shadow of a doubt, that he is going to put to rest any beat. I like how this particular production starts off a little bluesy and then transitions into the raw boom-bap. Dope.
Single You Out: Ruste Juxx – Brooklyn’s Finest (ft. Skyzoo)
Regrettable I am short on time so I am going to use the artist’s blurb for the track description:
When you describe Ruste Juxx, you must call him the “Hardest from the Underground”, his resume speaks for itself. The Boot Camp emcee who hails from Killer Crown Heights has without a doubt etched his name in brownstone as one of the premier emcee’s to ever come out of Brooklyn, NY.
Collaborating with fellow Brooklyn resident and suberb wordsmith Skyzoo, the duo combine to show you whose “Brooklyn’s Finest”. Over the VStheBest produced track, Ruste Juxx and Skyzoo take you thru a tour of Crooklyn.
Ruste Juxx starts the track by showing respect to the hood that help hone his skills as an emcee, then turns it up and bodies the track with a ill 16. Not to be out done, Skyzoo shows that his place as one of the best lyricist in the game is not to be taken lightly. Its only right that Juxx and Skyzoo connect on this track, having both drop stellar albums in 2012 on the Duck Down Label.
Single You Out: The Returners – What’s Going On (ft. Torae x Ruste Juxx)
Poland’s favorite sons are making new music and I have to say it’s knocking hard. This production might put a crimp in your neck you’ll be nodding so hard. And what do you do with a hard beat? You put too of the rawest spitters available to spit heavy bars and that’s exactly what Torae and Ruste Juxx do. Body the beat…
I have looked for some information on an album from The Returners and have come up with goose egg. If someone knows about a project they have in store, can you let a brother know? Appreciated.
Ruste Juxx & The Arcitype – Barbarian Bars (ft. Punchline) (Video)
This yet another one of the dope track from Artist Of The Year, Ruste Juxx and his producer The Arcitype. This is off of their album, V.I.C.
Artist Of The Year: Ruste Juxx (2012)
Well, the cat’s out of the bag. Ruste Juxx is the Hip Hop Dependency Artist Of The Year For 2012! Ruste Juxx really upped his game for 2012. He dropped two different stellar projects. One project was was with French producer Kyo Itachi entitled Hardbodie Hip Hop. The other, more recent project, was with a new favorite of mine, The Arcitype entitled simple, V.I.C.
Ruste Juxx wasn’t just about putting out a couple of great albums, he was on at least a dozen other cuts from other artists, always dropping solid bars. He was by far the most prolific artist of 2012.
One of the most compelling things about Ruste Juxx in 2012 was his flexing his verbal dexterity on the V.I.C. album. He broadened his content and really stepped out in my mind.
So Ruste Juxx, Hip Hop Dependency salutes you! Your accolades are way overdue.
(Below are ten videos Ruste Juxx found himself on in 2012. Just to give you a sample of what he’s been up to.)
