Note:

Listen.  I am going to make this easy to understand.  If you like that raw, grimy, New York boom-bap, then Nutso is that dude.  I don’t know if there is a doper delivery in the Rotten Apple than his.  Sure there are people who have clever rhyme schemes and intricacies but when it comes to straight flow and emotion, Nutso  has got it on lock.

Nutso – PAIN [Prod. 5th Seal] (Video)

Some songs just draw the emotion out of you.  PAIN is one of those joints for me.  Nutso and 5th Seal bring child and sexual abuse front and center.  The first verse deals with a story about a little girl who is being abused by her stepfather and her mother doesn’t believer her. The second verse tackles the subject on a whole.

The music is of course dope but what I like about this track is that someone with the credibility of Nutso is bold enough to tackle this topic.  It would be equivalent to Kool G Rap talking about it in 1992.  Eyes be open…

This song is a cut off of the free EP, I Plead The 5th, out now…

Single You Out: Shaz IllYork – Chopper (G-Mix) (ft. Nems, Poison Pen, Nutso & Danse Daimons)

Let the horns blow!  It’s like a call to war on this track.  Some of my favorite emcees gathered for this remix to Shaz Illyork’s Chopper. We got Nems, Poison Pen, Nutso, and Danse Daimons.  I am not familiar with the latter artist but the former gentlemen are certified body bag rhymers.   I was particularly impressed with Poison Pen’s bars.  I haven’t heard him in a long while and he sounded certified fresh on this joint.  I can’t wait to get my hands on Illyork’s Deadstock Revival.

Morgue music.

Nutso – 4 Tha Streetz (ft. AG da Coroner x Camiliano x Shaze) (Video)

When I was on hiatus I evidentially missed this video.  The homie Spit Gemz asked on Twitter who was a Top 5 artist in the New York and Nutso was one of my choices.  He just makes the music I like with an incomparable flow.  Every single one of these emcees on this cut lets loose though.  There are no weak bars and with J57 on the beat, you know the production is straight fire.  This is something to turn up loud and flagrant.

You can cop Nutso’s latest project, Behind These Bars.

Shabaam Sahdeeq – Degrees Of Separation (2012)

Shabaam Sahdeeq is undoubtedly a busy man and to show how much work he has been putting in lately, he’s assembled Degrees Of Separation for established fans and new listeners a like to get acquainted with what he’s been up to lately.  Degrees Of Separation includes a lot of the dope singles we have featured on HHD this year, a lot of guest shots that he’s been on, and some newer tracks I hadn’t heard yet.

As for my favorites?  I am glad you asked.   It’s got the Harry Fraud produced Futuristic which is one of my favorites not only of Sahdeeq but by any artist this year.  I am also partial to the Lewis Parker produced Walking On A Razor.    I am sure that you will appreciate the talent the man brings to the table after listening to the project and find a few favorites of your own.

Nutso (feat. Shabaam Sahdeeq & Royal Flush) – Blowing Up (Video)

Nutso, Shabaam Sahdeeq, and Royal Flush link up to drop a gem on em’.  Nutso and Sahdeeq have been wrecking shop this year.  They both have been putting in major work in 2012 with tons of guest spots and projects.  All of them very dope.  This joint arrives from Nutso’s most recent project, Behind These Bars which has loads of dope rhymes and tight rhymes.   This video is also quite original with the emcees being features in all of your favorite magazines as they take things to the next level.  Make sure you support artists like these…they make this hip hop shit go around!

Nutso – Bad Street’s Patternized (ft. DJ Modesty x Crook-N-Thru)

There are a couple of artists you just associate with being grimy.   Nutso is one such artist.  Just a raw lyricist bringing his life and views to life.   He is also one of the more underrated emcees.  He has been killing it for a long time, rocking with some of NY’s finest.  Give this man his due.  He’s got a new project dropping in September so remember to support that!
