M-Dot – Dreamscape (prod. By Marco Polo) (Video)

M-Dot is really building the anticipation for his forthcoming album, EgO anD The EneMy, which is due in two parts, the first of which is slated to drop January 27th of next year. It seems like a ways a way but it will be here sooner than we know it.

M-Dot really does get diabolical and creates a blood bath over the Marco Polo production. I mean when they suggest someone is ‘bringing the pain’…this is what they mean. The duo is taking the listener into the torture chamber for this one. The production and the lyricism transport you into the chaotic mind.

Enjoy!

First Division – B.R.A.W.L. (Brothers Rockin’ All The Way Live) (Produced by Marco Polo) (Video)

First Division just released their second EP, the Critical Path Part 2 today…for FREE.   And throughout the song you hear them refer to the True School and you best believe that’s where these guys hail from.  They love performing over those boom bap beats just as much as we love hearing them.  You can also hear the passion for the art form within these bars and that definitely means something.

Make sure you DL, listen, and support the artist by spreading the word.  That’s what it’s all about!

Note:

I really want to close out 2013, but I can not do so without cranking out one more review for a very dope album.  The first thing heads will notice about the album Daes & Times is the production credits.  There are some heavyweight names creating beats for One Dae.  When listeners see names like Statik Selektah, Marco Polo, Analogic, Domingo, and M-Phazes, they are bound to pay attention.  But as the man, Mike Zoot once said “a wack rhymer can kill a raw beat”.  In this case the opposite is true: One Dae accentuates what these beatsmiths provide making this album memorable.

Single You Out: One Dae – Bang This (prod. by Marco Polo)

The fire for hire is back!  One Dae is set to drop his album, Daes and Times later this month and he makes a great impression with this Marco Polo produced head knocker.  And please don’t think that One Dae is a new jack making his first move in the game.  He’s been putting in work for years, this is just the first you have probably have heard of him.  But if you didn’t know before, now you know.

Single You Out: Hannibal Stax & Marco Polo – Warriorz Drum (ft. Torae)

20130507-SEIZETHEDAY

No…it’s not King Just (if you don’t get this reference then we are not from the same era), it’s Hannibal Stax and Marco Polo dropping that hardcore alongside a ope guest in the form of one Torae.  This is a sick beat with dope lines galore.  I just finished listening to Hannibal and Marco’s album, Seize the Day, and lets just say that it’s worth the dolo.  Marco Polo is never to be associated with the weak shit!

Note:

I was modestly excited about this project. I say modestly because usually when a collective like this comes together for an album the expectations far exceed the product.  With that being said, that is not the  case with this album.  This album is incredibly refined with proper production and scintillating rhyme schemes.  KILLmatic is a complete project.
