Note:

While it’s been almost eight years since Vic has dropped an official album, he has turned out a mixtape or two during that time span and still remains sharp with precise lyrical wit that keeps the listener’s brain cells moving.   Loosies Collection Part 1 is just that…an assortment of songs that Vic has done in the past couple of years assembled in one mixtape and blended together by none other than DJ Mickey Knox.

And while I hope that eventually we will get something official in the way of an album from Vic, I am content to hear some new joints not heard before and excited to share them with you.

Single You Out: Mr. Morbid & Melph – Vile N Venomous (ft. Little Vic, Eternel, Majesty & Venom)

I’ve been supporting these Mr. Morbid & Melph (out of  the Netherlands) the moment I heard their first single.  Their album, Close To The End, will be dropping on March 25th.   For their latest track they solicit the rhyme stylings of house favorite, Little Vic, along with others.  The track is in the same vein as their other efforts that focus on banging drums and dark orchestral samples.   I am a fan.

Single You Out: Little Vic – Speak No Evil

I absolutely love what Little Vic did with this beat!  That guitar work is just awesome.  I always think of Vic as that superlative rhymer and tend to forget that he has a knack for some dope production.    This song is rapid fire and has Vic spitting flames once again.   I am not sure if this is something that will surface on his album.  If I know Vic, probably not.  He’s prone for just dropping random sickness.

Single You Out: Little Vic- All Work & No Play (prod by DJ Insite)

ALL WORK ARTcrop

Little Vic utilizes and adapts a  DJ Insite reference that was once to be further developed for a production for Nature (who has since chosen a different gem) . Vic concocted a couple of verses and what we have as a result is the collaborative effort, All Work & No Play.   We all know Vic’s prowess for dropping hot wittiness (yes,  I said that and don’t regret it one bit).  Enjoy how this track fell into place.

Single You Out: Little Vic – Let Alone

artworks-000054787139-429t0c-t500x500

Is this the first offering off of Little Vic’s album, Widowmaker?  Why , yes.  Yes it is!  It’s exciting because I have been waiting for years for Little Vic to put out something official and here it comes.  Let Alone is a somber joint that is also produced by Vic.  He’s got the keys moving as he discusses the caveats of relationships in there different stages.  Truly an artist for the people with his conversational style.  Enjoy!

Undefined – Closed Caskets (ft. Peter Leo x Little Vic) (Video)

The first thing I want to say is that you don’t see chemistry on the microphone like this anymore.  Little Vic and Peter Leo spit these bars like they were on some EPMD shit.   It’s incredible the way they trade these bars.  I can’t compare it with anything recently.  The second thing I want to note is  the dope beat that Undefined crafts here, and his album, Certified A-Side, is chocked full of rhythms like this.  You need to check it out!  Lastly, the video is extremely well done.  The director really did a great job of accentuating the team work in the track.  Officially one of my favorite joints this year.
