Note:

While we all eagerly anticipate M-Dot’s album, Ego and The Enemy, he has released a teaser project once again showing the assortment and diversity of talent.  This is old hat for us here at Hip Hop Dependency, but I am sure there are more than just a few of you who will appreciate these dope eight tracks.

You can see the company he keeps on some of these tracks and let me assure you, he was never out shined on any of these cuts.  I hope you all can appreciate that talent as much as we do.

Stay tuned for more information on the album!

Single You Out: Praverb The Wyse – Average Joe (ft. M-Dot & Revalation (prod. Soulmade)

Man, it really is hard to contemplate a hip hop world with out Praverb. As a matter of fact, I have just been avoiding thinking about it ever since he passed away over a year ago. What a great person and inspiration to so many…

But his love for music and his talent will remain a living testament to the man. EMS cohorts M-Dot and Revalation join the late Praverb for this previously unreleased joint.

There is a whole project that just released featuring dope matieral from Praverb, so make sure you check that out.

The Legacy

Mayhem & Soulslicers – Patriots (ft. M-Dot, Edo G, and Big Shug) (Video)

Mayhem & Soulslicers release the video for a single they released a month or so ago for the Boston anthem, Patriots.  And while Tom Brady and company may have been knocked out of the playoffs, Mayhem and his affiliates definitely represent.  Mayhem, Edo G, and M-Dot each represent a color from their favorite football team and paint a very vivid portrait of what it means to be from The Bean.

This cut is from the forthcoming album, Soul It May Seem.

Single You Out: Mayhem & The Soulslicers – Patriots (ft. Edo G, M-Dot & Big Shug) (Prod. The Soulslicers)

This is the second single from Mayhem and The Soulslicers collaborative album, Soul It May Seem.  I do have to say that I am not a Patriots fan of any sort but I will support these guys for the duration.  Patriots is a tribute to Boston and sports team.  It also showcases the gang’s creativity with M-Dot, Edo G, and Mayhem all taking on a color of the franchise to show their support.  Big Shug lends his talents and skills to doing the hook.  Very creative material.

M-Dot & EMS – Spittin’ Dead (Video)

M-Dot and company give you the visuals to a track that dropped six months ago, Spittin’ Dead.   The premise of the track is to illustrate that we already exist in a climate where people walk around like zombies due to various media outlets.   A good number of people believe everything that they see and hence become zombiefied.  And not to go unmentioned, the crews undisputed talent, makes the track extra fresh.

This track will be found on Revalation’s forthcoming, Emergency Broadcast.

M-Dot – Finish (Video)

The life of an emcee rocking it independently can be anything but glorious and M-Dot has a few words of advice for his contemporaries if they are going to see that finish line.   The moment you think you can’t, you have to simply  push forward.  Ignore the excuses and the reasons you can’t, and suck it up princess…Man up!

Finish is yet another dope track from his latest project, Jake LaDotta.
