“Old school…got my Raider’s cap…” That’s the anthem on this cut from the Demigodz impressive KILLmatic album. We’ve talked about it before in the album review, but this track is produced by Apathy, and he did a hella of a job on this joint. Note:
I was modestly excited about this project. I say modestly because usually when a collective like this comes together for an album the expectations far exceed the product. With that being said, that is not the case with this album. This album is incredibly refined with proper production and scintillating rhyme schemes. KILLmatic is a complete project.
Demigodz – Dead In The Middle (Video)
Not since MF Doom has this Scooby Doo sample been used so effectively. If you couple that with the Big Pun sample and the dope flows of The Demigodz, you have a sure shot. The album KILLmatic drops March 5th.
Single You Out: Apathy & Celph Titled – School For Scoundrels (Prod Ayatollah)
This joint was originally recorded back in 2007, which just goes to show you that music from Apathy and Celph Titled is timeless. The two really are a great combination. This track can be found on the Coalmine Records compilation, Unearthed, which will see the light in early 2013.
Diggaz With Attitude – Casino Royale b/w 1st Degree Murder (Videos)
Today is when Stu Bangas and Vanderslice release their collaborative album, Diggaz With Attitude to the world. If you like banging beats and a slew of dope rhymes, you will be all over this project. If you need convincing or are on the fence, please check the accompanying videos.
Casino Royale is on that James Bond level with Blacastan and Apathy rocking tuxedos and dropping bars, while 1st Degree Murder lends itself to a deluge of violence while Vinnie Paz, Roc Marciano, and Celph Titled all contribute verses.
