Single You Out: Apathy – New England Royalty

Another single from Apathy’s forthcoming project, Weekend At The Cape.  New England Royalty has a little bit of soul integrated with a heavy dosage of boom bap.  The production switches up in the middle of the track and Apathy’s flow gets a little more malicious.

Apathy’s longevity and his ability to continuously make dope music is a testament to his talent.  There are not many in his class.  The aforementioned project, along with another, The Black Lodge, are dropping on June 30th.

Note:

It’s more than just a Army Of The Pharaohs thing.  It’s more than just a Houston to Philadelphia thing.  The Monster And Mr. Arnell is a showcase of some of the most promising talent, not only on the AOTP team but currently in the game as a whole.  I have been showcasing V-Zilla for quite a while now as an emcee and Lawrence Arnell on his production credits.  Now the two have combined to deliver a compelling project for hip hop heads of all walks to appreciate.

Single You Out: DJ Connect – Up In Sweden (ft. Block McCloud x Reef The Lost Cauze)

DJ Connect from the Elite Fleet, a production crew out of Sweden, released an EP last week entitled, Well Connected, on the Creative Juices label.   Up In Sweden is just one of several bangers off of the EP, featuring a portion of the AOTP in Block McCloud and Reef The Lost Cauze.  The production is simply fire with expert delivery of samples chopped up into the chorus.

V-Zilla & Lawrence Arnell – The Excellence (Video)

Oh shit.  I missed this.  V-Zilla and Lawrence Arnell tear the house down with their single, The Excellence.  And let me tell you this, I have never heard of Juan Muteniac but if his productions are remotely on par with this beat, I need to go get that discography immediately.  That beat is homicide.    Some vicious flows over the perfect rhythm makes this a must listen.

Make sure to peep their collaborative album, The Monster & Mr. Arnell, dropping on Thanksgiving Day.

Single You Out: Blacastan and Stu Bangas – Nubian Metal (ft. Vinnie Paz and Celph Titled)

I didn’t realize that Blacastan and Stu Bangas had an album in the works (Watson and Holmes).  For their first offering, Nubian Metal, it’s an AOTP reunion of sorts with Vinnie Paz and Celph Titled jumping on the track.   It’s more of what you have come to expect from the team: that hard-body hip hop.   It’s not my favorite track out at the moment, but it still knocks with the best of them.

The album drops July 29th.

Single You Out: Taiyamo Denku – Ice Cold (ft. Kool G Rap x Vinnie Paz) (prod. by DCYPHA)

It’s hard to argue with the dopeness found in this song.  Taiyamu Denku and Australian producer DCYPHA are out to create some night stalker music with their collaborative album, SUPERNATURAL.  The album is going to drop on June 25th with a slew of dope guest spots.   As a matter of fact, with Kool G Rap and Vinnie Paz on this joint, I am pretty sure that someone lost their life in the making of this song…Fire!!!
