Not sure I have heard Josh Boots and Phonetic before. But I am familiar with Alkota Beats. The song is a quick strike with the run time at under three minutes but it serves it’s purpose. Alkota Beats drops a digitally construed rhythm for Boots and Phonetic to rock over and the two do a fine job flipping their lines. I would certainly listen again.
N.B.S. takes it from the salon back into the streets and then proceeds to sever heads over a hard Alkota produced rhythm, with an assist from R-E-K-S. This joint will instantly be added to my rotation. It just knocks. I just copped their new album, The Smokefest, earlier today. I haven’t listened to it yet, but there’s no doubt that the albums going to be filled with bangers.
Album: Face Value
When I first heard some music from Skeezo I thought he was decent artist with a dope sound, but now that I have had ample time to listen to Face Value I am left with an entirely different impression: This guy brings the streets to your headphones in dope fashion. He is a creator, not a follower.
Planetary has been a busy man as of late. He had the project with Dee Metto within the last couple of months and has dropped a few singles for a variety of projects along with the Outerspace joint from last week.
Well, this banger from alkota is going to surface on his next mixtape, Camouflage Everything. The production is big and robust, being more of composition than just a production. Planetary eats this kind of beat up dropping fiery lines, tough lyricism, and sharp metaphors. It appears to me that Planetary is going on an onslaught right now…stay out of his way and get behind him!
