Another single from Big O’s new album Gravel Engravement. Absoulut and Adlib join the track over this 4th Assassin beat exposing those emcees who exaggerate their life in one way or another. Make sure you check out the album, and also check out our interview HERE.
Lord Willin and Big O tag team over this 4th Assassin banger. The track gets it’s title from former WWF manager, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. I am not sure how this title is derived from the song because I don’t remember much about Heenan. But who cares? This track is dope. 4th Assassin always brings out the best in emceees (ala Big O’s last album, Gravel Engravement).
The track’s producer 4th Assassin knows I am fond of his work so he shot me this track featuring a crew that’s new to me, Good Money. And by the name (I am not fond of the word Money making it into people’s names) I thought it would at best be so-so, but the crew show and proves with some introspective material that also makes the neck snap. So we can’t argue with that. This was a pleasant surprise for me. I hope to learn more about the team in the future.
Hip Hop Dependency is designed to support artists that I believe in, and I can’t think of too many more artists that I support more than Big O. I am a fan of Big O because he brings that raw boom-bap unfiltered to headphones everywhere. He’s got a gritty flow and a hunger to rock these lines for the people which you just don’t hear anymore.
Today also marks the release of his new album Gravel Engravement which can be found online anywhere and everywhere they sell albums. And while I may have gotten the album title twisted in the interview below., I didn’t get this twisted: This album bangs!
So check the interview below and make sure you ride with the homie Big O and cop that album. If you like that head nod flavor, you are going to enjoy this.
I don’t think you could get two tougher flows on the mic if you tried. Big O and Blaq Poet come out locked and loaded on this 4th Assassin self-produced track (damn…Big O flexin’ production skills) that is destined to make an appearance on Big O’s highly anticipated album, Gravel Engagement. That’s not hype either…that’s honesty. The album drops on October 22nd. I’ll be waiting.
HHD is proud to debut this video for, Ticking Timebomb. We’ve been talking about Big O on HHD for a year now at least. Lets get the word out regarding this talent coming out of Cleveland, Ohio. He’s offering a different sound than the Midwest might be known for typically. He’s got a punishing technique and delivery that is only amplified when you combine his talents with that of, Stu Bangas.
“You spit raps like you want to spoon or cuddle..” Haha. Ain’t that the truth! If you want the raw and uncut, and a break from the fru-fru, then this joint is for you.
Big O’s LP, Gravel Engagement, entirely produced by 4th Assassin is dropping this summer.
Man, if you are still sleeping on Big O, I got nothing left for you. You can search his name on this blog and see him featured numerous times and they were ALL dope. This time we get a collaboration with another of my favorite artists at the moment, Godilla. It does not disappoint. This track is off of his forthcoming album, Gravel Engagement.
New tunes from Big O and 4th Assassin as a a promo for the forthcoming Gravel Engagement album. Big O contines to drop dope and tough music. None of that pretty boy shit. This is a man you are going to see more and more on HHD…I promise.
4th Assassin posted this on his Twitter feed and I knew this was going to be nice. The guitar sample and piano keys are the perfect back drop for this posse cut. The samples chopped in are just icing on the cake. I am not sure if this joint will wind up on any project so be sure to enjoy it now.
New single from Big O from his upcoming album, Gravel Engagement which will be completely produced by 4th Assassin. This is type of grittiness I am expecting from this project.
