New and ominous single from Hus Kingpin, produced by Mitch Shaffer off of his new project, My Beautiful Dark Wave Fantasy. This will be available everywhere on November 15th, but out now on Hus’ site. It’s dark and ominous hip hop which is right in our lane.
Single You Out: DRE Colombian x Ras Beats – Colombian Raw
I am running through this project, Crudo, from DRE Colombian and Ras Beats, and I am sorry it took me so long to get to this. This effort is strong, and has a powerful boom bap appeal. DRE Colombian sounds really raw and hungry on each track Ras Beats just keeps impressing with his production. He has become one of those producers where if you see his name on the credits, you just have to cop it. It’s non-negotiable.
Colombian Raw has a tinge of panic, a dose of grimy, and a potent portion of boom bap. Enjoy!
Single You Out: Stu Bangas x Apathy – One Man Army
When I listened to this track for the first time it was one of those ever-so rare “Oh shit!” moments. You think you’ve heard it all from Apathy at this point but then he just out does himself, this time over an immaculate Stu Bangas beat. This is simply just beautiful and they have an album dropping on December 9th, so be on guard for that.
Reckonize Real & Weapon E.S.P – Be Wise (Video)
I had just listened to Reckonize Real’s latest album, Subterranean Obscura, earlier today. And when I first heard this track lead off, I was hooked. I REALLY love how he articulated this beat! Hard to put into words how this vocal sound impacts the song. It’s almost like a chant that provides a white canvas for Weapon E.S.P. to spit a juxtaposition of bars that will keep the head reeling.
Rasheed Chappell – Manna From Heaven (prod. by Little Vic) (Video)
Rasheed Chappell dropping some street insight with proper poetic perspective over a production that Little Vic simply made cry. You hear how though one might be removed from those streets you grew up on, you still embrace and stay connected. This joint is short but really poignant.
Chappell has a new album dropping, A Portrait Of, on December 9th. Mark it down. Not to be missed.
Planet Asia x Body Bag Ben – Heist the Crown (Video)
New video single up for the title track from Body Bag Ben and Planet Asia’s collaborative album, Heist The Crown. As always, PA delivers the goods over some sinister boom bap music box beats from Ben. These guys are about as prolific as they come when it comes to crafting music in the last couple of years. Coming at you in a torrid pace.
Single You Out: 38 Spesh x Harry Fraud – Speshal (ft. Stove God Crooks)
Harry Fraud and 38 Spesh linking up sounds like a total win. And not only do they have this single, but they have a new project coming out November 18th, Beyond Belief. And that joint should make it on everyone’s calendar to cop.
Speshal features a laid back guitar lick induced track from Fraud and guest bars from Stove God Crooks. Definitely vibing off of the sound.
Single You Out: Benny Slumz x Tone Spliff – Act Accordingly
This is a choice track from Tone Spliff and Benny Slumz collaborative effort, From The Slumz. Act Accordingly is that joint from the album. The beat, the scratching, and these bars will have you rewinding this track often. Really dope song from a dope EP that everyone should check.
BP x E Class – In These Streets (Video)
E Class and BP are back with a new video single, In The Streets, and a new project, Speak No Evil See No Evil II. These artists have great chemistry and bring a strong amount of energy to their music. BP ONLY produces bangers and some of my favorite joints from him feature E Class on the mic. And to the point, this joint is tough, and I am definitely going to cop their new one. You should be on that boat with me.
