I’ve heard Matth Damon on as a guest shot on a couple of projects I have reviewed here on HHD. Now he comes through and blesses us with a solo joint which I am feeling from start to finish. Very smooth. Lyrically, Damon is strong and the beat is very chill. Something to vibe to.
Single You Out: Wordsmith – Never Be The Same
New single from Wordsmith’s King Noah album which is dropping June 19th. Never Be The Same is a reflective joint as Wordsmith reminisces on where he has been and how he has progressed though life. Enjoy…
Stryfe – Stay Focused (Video)
Stryfe is an impressive emcee. Really nice flow over this hype Illingsworth beat. If you are feeling this joint then be sure to check out their EP, The Opening Act.
Single You Out: Voreheez – Agoraphobia
As a big Problemaddicts fan, I am really happy to see this release, as well as I news that, Vorheez has an album coming out this year. There’s a lot to love about Agoraphobia. Everything from the lyrics down to the Goodie Mob sample. Write this artist’s name down so you don’t forget to check for him. Maybe I will do a Problemaddicts ‘Check The Discography’ post soon. Very slept on.
I Am Many – More Black (Video)
Aaaagh…funny, disturbing, yet dope. The creativity of I Am Many is unparalleled. A flow that keeps you on pins and needles, coupled with some visuals that perplex and unnerve.

Note:
This is the first installment of a new category on HHD entitled, Sorry I Slept. I just want to recognize some projects that I may have missed a few months ago, or perhaps a few years ago. I will be posting these on an as needed basis.
I picked Dead Poet Society because I have really become fond of their music over the last few months. I saw this on Dot Got It when it was originally released. I always meant to check it out but never did. That is until a few months ago.
The EP is solid like concrete if you like that Boom Bap east coast sound. Each emcee carries their weight on the project and the production is strong.
J57 – Pulp Fiction (ft. Koncept) (Video)
It’s Brown Bag AllStars fam! This track is coming off of J57’s new project 2057, dropping on May 22nd. I really liked Koncept’s last project, Awaken, but damn, he was spitting something vicious on this joint. Not to be played with.
Alterbeats – The French Revolution (Promo Video)
I usually never put up any type of promo video but this gets me hype. A really well done introduction to French producer Alterbeats. I like how they scratched in the verse from each emcee. Nice concept!
Alterbeats has collabed with the homie Halfabrick a couple of times previously and the results were amazing. I am expecting big things from his album, The French Revolution, dropping June 26th. That is about seven weeks too far out for my taste but it is what it is. Check the tracklisting:

Rome Clientel – Holdin’ It Down (ft. Alycat and Skyzoo) (Video)
Y’all are sleeping! I just listened to this joint the other day. This track is teflon tough. It’s my favorite track off of Rome’s FREE album, The Empire: The Lost Catacombs. The project includes some of Rome’s previous work as well as some new joints. I am sure if you are feeling this joint, you are going to like what you hear on the rest of the project.
