Now you are going to need to know some wrestling references in order to understand the lingo. Luckily, I am so equipped. The beat on this track and while I am not familiar with Ballantine, I am certainly familiar with Godilla and Tone Liv. Ballantine certainly holds his weight on the track.
Single You Out: Born Unique – Easy Like Sunday (ft. Apathy)
Born Unique enlists the lyrical talents of Apathy and Shabaam Sahdeeq for this joint off of his album Heathen Season. Ant Will is responsible for the beat that is laid back but at the same time provides just enough bite to give the emcees a proper for to test their wears.

Single You Out: AWKWORD – Doh
AWKWORD shot this over to me while I was driving around town and finally had a chance to give it a listen. It’s definitely impressive. This is a little different than what I am used to from AWKWORD. His flow is more laid back and deliberate on this joint and it plays very well over Clementino’s production which has a player piano type vibe going. This really was not at all what I envisioned the song to sound like based upon the Homer Simpson artwork. That is deceptive…haha. This song will be dropping on Dope Music Blog Presents: The Cho$en Few
Peep the freshness…
JD Nero & Tribeca – The Box (ft. Lisa Denise) (Video)
Possibly one of the most innovative videos done this year to go along with the fact that it s a great song. JD Nero and Tribeca drop verses that show that they’re not going to be force fed the ideas proposed by the media over some nice production from Daveytree.
This song can be found on the compilation album, Audiowear.
TReZ & N.O.R.E. – Illuminati Your Body (Video)
I definitely got down with this one. Dope track. TReZ in particular represents. I like the way the beat by Ric Rude flips and changes bringing in The Omen type ish. The content is on point as well. Something worth checking…
Livin Proof – Lean With It (Video)
Livin Proof keeps his foot to the pedal and releases this video for Lean With It which is another song featured on his upcoming mixtape, Die For A Deal. That project is dropping on November 20th so be on the lookout for that. Livin Proof definitely is bring that toughness back to an otherswise soft game.
Single You Out: KonSICKwence – Ars Poetica (prod. by Skip Sanders)
All I can say is wow…wow…one of the best debuts I have heard while running HHD. This beat by Skip Sanders is amazing! The guitar, the smooth jazzy tones, and the hip hop samples chopped up just transport the listener and KonSICKwence isn’t just delivering random bars. He has tightly woven wordplay. This is a MUST SHARE track!
I walk the road less travelled until the world buries me / And I don’t give a fuck about how you’re comparing me
This is off of their album Utah.Jazz which I haven’t had a chance to listen to but will get on it shortly because this track made my week.
Single You Out: BURNTmd – Together (feat. DJ Grazzhoppa)
A new joint from BURNTmd’s forthcoming project, The Green Invasion. This is showrt but sweet, backed with production from DJ Grazhoppa. The chopping of samples is on some perfection and our emcee drops some ill sociology with his raspy vocals. Stay tuned Tis project is supposed to drop in December.
Dro Pesci & Infamous Haze – Broken Language 2K12 (ft. Ruste Juxx) (Video)
I don’t know why but this is always one beat I want to hear how people rock over. Obviously no one is going to top the original but it’s always interesting to hear what kind of wordplay people are going to come up with .
This one features Ruste Juxx who has been doing all kinds of damage in 2012. He has been relentless. He is teamed up with Dro Pesci who’s project this song will appear on. That project is entitled The Sitdown which has no said date. I think the emcees certainly do this track some justice.
Single You Out: Doujah Raze – Left Out (prod. by Shuko)
I love the fact (or maybe I hate it) that people don’t know who Doujah Raze is. This man has been around for a long while and just been on hiatus for a while. He’s originally from the VA area and was putting out 12″ records when the indie scene was still developing and as I recall he was a part of that Rawkus 50.
But lets get current, he’s got a new album dropping in a couple of weeks entitle The Eighth House. If this song proves a proper sampling for what the rest of the album is going to sound like, I think everyone should want to cop. Shuko provides another stalwart production to add to his resume and Raze spits some illness in his gruff baritone. Peep!
