Final Outlaw unleashes a fury of boom bap not seen on, though indicative of his album, Unstoppable Love. If hip hop had a consciousness it probably would come from this man. He’s bringing thought provoking music back to the fore front and is back by unrelenting hip hop bravado. This is the rebirth of true school.
Frank Ramz – Bad To The Bone (Video)
Frank Ramz drops the second single for his forthcoming album, Medicine Filled Candy. And while it’s not quite as innovative and deep as his previous, Icons, it still shows Ramz skills. But to be fair, Icons was just on some next level, music and visual sh-t. Going to be hard to touch…
Nutso – 4 Tha Streetz (ft. AG da Coroner x Camiliano x Shaze) (Video)
When I was on hiatus I evidentially missed this video. The homie Spit Gemz asked on Twitter who was a Top 5 artist in the New York and Nutso was one of my choices. He just makes the music I like with an incomparable flow. Every single one of these emcees on this cut lets loose though. There are no weak bars and with J57 on the beat, you know the production is straight fire. This is something to turn up loud and flagrant.
You can cop Nutso’s latest project, Behind These Bars.
Single You Out: Local-Mu12 (The 17th x Fokis x Broadway Barrett) – Unhappy
Local Mu-12 is readying their debut album and this is the first single from the project. This particular cut features The 17th, Fokis, and Broadway Barrett. The 17th laces the beat which sounds as if I was walking through an evil carnival. I am a huge fan of the crews’ body of work and really am looking forward to what they have to offer a full length project. The camp has so many diverse styles and embodies the talent level that you can find in today’s music scene. This cut may be entitled ‘Unhappy’ but it certainly brought a smile to this mug. I hope you enjoy…
Single You Out: Mr. Morbid & Melph – Close To The End
Yes! Some new cats with something different. I do have a tendency to follow the dark side and that’s exactly what the duo of Mr. Morbid (name suits) and Melph bring to the game. This beat is a creeper. It’s haunting when the guitar is combined with the church organ. Then there all these awesome snippets scratched into the hook. This is type-ill heat…
The duo are dropping an album in late 2013 that will be dropping in late 2013.

Innocent? – Time For Change (ft. Roc Marciano x DJ Modesty) (prod. by Alterbeats)
A few things caught my eye when I got this press release: 1) Roc Marciano 2) DJ Modesty 3) Alterbeats
I am familiar with all three of those artists and thought, if all of this talent is working along side Innocent? for sure he has to have some skills and assuredly he does. This track definitely has that NY/East Coast appeal. Alterbeats, if you are not familiar, is a French producer we have featured here a number of times and he specializes in that grimy, boom-bap flavor.
Innocent? has a new album dropping in the third quarter of 2013 entitled Love It Or Hate It which is chocked full of dope artists.
Single You Out: Skeezo – The Spark (ft. Ruen)
Our last Artist Spotlight participant, Skeezo, is preparing a new project, Face Value that will be dropping 03/26/13. This jazzy and laid back type beat is new for me in regards to Skeezo and I like it. Really dope cut that shows off his diversity. Production by Ruen.
Single You Out: JoJo Pellegrino – Worst Days (prod. by Fallen Down)
I am just going to make my own JoJo Pellegrino mixtape. He has dropped enough loosies over the course of the last couple of years for me to comprise one. The man is extremely gifted and I hope to catch an official project from him soon. This track is produced by Fallen Down.
Single You Out: Juan Deuce – Slapdash
Juan Deuce is the lab cranking out an album with Falside. Meanwhile, to subdue the throngs of fans he let loose this cut, Slapdash. It’s a dope joint with a droning bass line and Deuce doling out verbal treats for the kiddies. If you hadn’t checked out last year’s mixtape, No Sweat, now would be the appropriate time to get on that.
Wax – We Can’t All Be Heroes (Video)
Wow. This song is depressing. It’s even more depressing when I see the video. Wax’s aim was to cause some emotion and he did a great job. The characters portrayed in the video were extremely believable as he narrated their tales. Somebody has got to lose… This song comes off of his latest album, Continue.
