Another video dropping from Gensu Dean and Planet Asia’s collaborative album, Abrasions. Planet Asia is an artist that can really do no wrong in my mind. His flow, demeanor, and cadence make him a tough act to follow in any cipher. On this track he discusses the power of the almighty dollar.
Fortunato – I’m That One (produced by Fresh Kils) (Video)
Fortunato is an artist that I hadn’t featured here before but after watching this video I feel he is a natural fit for our line up. He’s got a nice delivery and the beat is on point. This video single is lifted from his forthcoming album (can’t find it online so I am guessing it’s not out yet), Unseen Armada. Be on the lookout for that.
Single You Out: King Mez – Exordium
It’s time to start talking about King Mez as one of the best established emcees in the game instead of some rookie just now cutting his teeth. the man has put out solid project after solid project, and frankly, I can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us in the future. This particular cut is not slated for any particular project and is produced by Rico Beats. All in all, very dope.
Goldini Bagwell – Secondhand Smoke (X-Ray EP) (2013)
Artist: Goldini Bagwell
Album: Secondhand Smoke (X-Ray EP)
Source: Artist
Tracklisting:
Note:
The most unique member of the Sandpeople crew, Goldini Bagwell, has finally released the sequel to his criminally slept on Chainsmoke album. And while not as deep in terms of the number of tracks on the project, it’s equal in it’s artistic potency.
Once again the production is fielded by Pmpee Beats out of Finland (I think, no for sure. He’s from Finland). The cohesion between producer and emcee at this point is seamless. They now have two projects under their belts and the two are always on time and in sync throughout the course of each song.

Single You Out: Nostic x NapzMeka x Phakt – Pipe Dream
I have been sitting on this for about a week, waiting for the opportune time to drop it on the site and it kept getting bumped. But I am putting an end to the stalling now. Nostic links up with Maryland producer Chisom Uzosike to give y’all a soulful jam about overcoming life’s obstacles no matter what might occur. Joining him on the track are Canadian affiliates NapzMeka (U.G.L.I) and Phakt. What sets this track apart from the other is simple attention to detail. This is mos definitely one of them joints you’ll have to rewind! Enjoy!
Lafayette Stokely – Scared of Death (Video)
As he is prone to do, Dharmic X (follow him), sent me over some new “good” music to listen to. It’s an interesting concept in how death is interpreted here. This is artistically on point. If you want to delve further into Lafayette Stokely’s catalog, you can do so by checking out his album, Life’s Journey.
Single You Out: Premrock x Zilla Rocca x Mad Dukez – FaSho FaSho (Willie Green Remix)
Fasho Fasho! Remix is a fun track to get the night on the town started correctly. It features two members of the HHD A-Team, Premrock and Zilla Rocca along with Mad Dukez (who I am not sure if I have heard before). Of course we have the ever creative Willie Green on the boards. Is it wrong for me to think of the hip hop version of A Night At The Roxbury when I hear this? It probably is, but that would be a fun video to make. Ladies beware!
Single You Out: Wordsmith – Blue Collar Poet (Produced by JS aka The Best)
I am really feeling this new track from Wordsmith. He’s bringing a lot of energy to this track. I can’t help but smile when listening to it. The beat by JS AKA The Best has a lot of things going on and is extremely addictive. This is an all around win for hip hop.
Single You Out: Aceric – Sundowners
I am constantly on the lookout for innovation in artistry and that’s why I am bringing you this new music from Ottawa native, Aceric.
The track, Sundowners is a joint that expresses in great complexity, the ups and downs of relationships. The wordplay is big on syllables, assonance, and the abstract. It all makes for an interesting listening experience.
If this is something you are feeling, Aceric’s EP, Ephemeroptera, dropped yesterday.
Single You Out: Macabeats – Killin emcees (ft. Cerebral) (produced by Keno Beats)
Keno Beats put me onto this track he produced for Baltimore emcee, Macabeats. Keno goes heavy with the drums and then delivers with the ‘Dranet-esque’ type horns. And Macabeats it’s wack emcee hunting season and the targets have been set. This joint is a threat so listen with great caution.
