I know many of you may not be up on the group Third Sight, but this team has been at it on the Left Coast for well over a decade. The unit is comprised of Roughneck Jihad, D-Styles, and Dufunk. And while it’s never been a steady stream of releases, it’s nice to se some new music from them.
Trife is music a slow-creeper that suggests you shouldn’t wander into dark alleys for too long, less you get your body snatched.
I hope that some new music is on it’s way…who knows…maybe an album?
A new video single from Bishop Lamont’s, The Reformation. Back Off Me features a battle scene scenario with West Coast legend, Xzibit. And the man sounds dangerously invigorated on this cut. There are bars upon bars on this joint making the visuals and the audible really dope.
I think you guys are going to feel this. The Reformation doesn’t have an exact drop date but I expect it to have one in a few weeks as it is slated for this summer.
We got some new visuals for Planet Asia and DJ Concept’s cut, International, lifted off their collaborative project Seventy Nine.
It’s a retrospective joint that features Asia reminiscing from his earlier years grinding in the streets to the international stage that he now entertains. The track is butter-smooth, and features vocals from Marvelous Mag.
For the last video single off the Blue Collar, Fortunato, releases the most mellow and chill joint from the project, Ain’t Nobody Know. This is a track that we can just sit back and vibe to. The project as a whole is real nice, so make sure you cop and support.
First single off of Shaz Ilyork’s forthcoming, Fly, High & Broke Pt. 2. This is a high intensity banger that set an ominous tone for the album as a whole. Illyork sounds like he is ready for big things for the remainder of the year. I also see that the album features a reunion with Spit Gemz. That shit should sound impeccable.
Here’s a rarity these days…a dope artist that we haven’tfeatured before! I got the album link from Buttatone’s new album, Tsunami, in my inbox, and I gave it a spin. And this is actually quite a dope project. Quite damn refreshing as I feel hip hop has gotten redundant and stale at this point.

It’s been a while since I have heard The Bad Seed rock on the mic, but he’s come back with a vegeance over a damning beat from Nottz. If you thought that Seed was your peer, think again. He’s not here to make friends, he’s here to check heads with those in the game posing. this is a real dope cut.
Spic Academy is back with their second single,Loud Pack, which they are delivering loud and proud. This song is a little more upbeat and fun from JBL The Titan, Adrian Adonis, Godilla, and DJ Rybe. Lots of dope rhymes and scratching on this joint!
I hope the album is dropping soon.
More new music from Never So Deep is always a welcome thing. This joint features bars from Left Coast emcees, Rhythm Writers, and Donnie Darko. And of course you hav ethe production from the most respected, DJ Bless.

IDE just dropped his first album, Breathe Easy, after a six year hiatus. I gave it one complete listen this morning and it is incredibly impressive. I think that you will find the production and the lyricism to be damn near impeccable. I’d love to tell you that it’s ‘raw’ hip hop but the truth of the matter is that this release is really polished. A very mature project. I strongly encourage you to pick this up at your earliest convenience.
