This new video and song from Jaysaun is some serious business. He is putting several people on blast. He’s got a message for the Catholic Church, Obama, and the Boys In Blue. They are not safe from Karma. Really dope and powerful track coming from his upcoming album, Kill Ya Boss.
Single You Out: Grey Sky Appeal – Evil 80s
New jawn from Grey Sky Appeal! I am loving the flavor that this track is delivering. You get the usual dope lines from the emcees, but the production on this joint is oh so beautiful. I love the synth and electronica that accompanies the boom bap.
These guys just have that creative knack that others are so desperately lacking.
…that’s why I fall in love with things completely morbid…
Skeezo – Fouls And Free Throws (2016)

Artist: Skeezo
Album: Fouls and Free Throws
Tracklisting:
- Ice Cold (ft. Juxx Diamondz)
- Gun Talk (ft. Masai Bey)
- Still Stuck
- Between The Lines (ft. Mic Handz and Shabaam Sahdeeq)
- Heavy Reign (ft. Napoleon Legend x VVS Verbal)
- No Seeds (Venom Remix)
Note:
It’s really good to hear some new sounds from the man Skeezo. And to compliment the fact that the man drops dope music, he is releasing these six songs for free. If you are not familiar with this man’s talent, now is the opportune time to study up. Skeezo’s always dropping those tough bars and his choice of production continues to be impeccable.
There are lots of great guest shots on this project as well, but no one is going to outdue the host, bet on that. Check out the tracks below:
Eff Yoo – The Eff Word (Video)
Here’s another artist I have been rocking with from the beginning…Eff Yoo. And as an artist he has really grown over the years. This song really sets expectations for his project with producer Rediculous, The Eff Word (drops on April 21st). So feel the horns and the flow, and raise your glass to salute the talent!
Gripz – Heavens Demon (2016)
![Gripz-Ice-Cold-prod.-by-Ny-Bangers-LLC[1].jpg](https://hiphopdependency.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/gripz-ice-cold-prod-by-ny-bangers-llc1.jpg?w=712)
Artist: Gripz
Album: Heavens Demon
Tracklisting:
1. Only Time Will Tell
2. Angel Tears
3. Nobody
4. Broken Mirror
5. Pack Up My Bones
6. The Darkness
7. Interlude
8. Ice cold
9. Heavens Demon
10. Physcotic Thoughts
11. Fuck Your Opinion
12. Birds Eye View
13. Not A Regular Jam
14. Never Fold
Note:
Heavens Demon is the culmination of years of effort from behind the mic by Gripz. And while the man is a prolific writer, this is actually the first full length project from the man since 2010, when he dropped Angels vs. Demons.
The time between projects was spent releasing a single here and a single there, but in 2016 the beast is unleashed. And what you should know is that his pen game has only gotten better since he first began. When you listen to this album you are going to experience the pain and the angst this man feels in every bar. You are going to rock with emotion of self-doubt and then build up to the uncompromising confidence he possesses.
Gripz is an artist that needs to have his voice heard and his talent exposed. Heavens Demon is the vehicle by which he gets that done. Give it a listen.
Single You Out: Saran Rap – Ferocious (ft. Agallah x Smoovth x Spit Gemz)
Here is a track, Ferocious, from Saran Rap’s recent EP, Heavy Crates. I am putting this out there because I think some heads are missing out on this project. It’s got a few heavy hitters in terms of emcees, and definitely has that boom bap appeal. I certainly think it fits the mold of what we are trying to do here at HipHopDependency.
Of course on this track you’ve got Agallah, Smoovth, and Spit Gemz slaying mics, and who doesn’t like that line up. Enjoy!
Single You Out: Binary Star – Slang Blade (Reprised)
One Be Lo takes a Binary Star classic from 1996, beefs up the drums, and then give it a renewed, 2016 lyrical twist.
Ifyou’renot up on Binary Star and their classic album, Masters Of The Universe, then you are probably not from around these parts. But, nonetheless, that album is timeless, so stop wasting time and cop that if you are just catching wind of it.
One Be Lo also has a reworking of another track which I will share in the course of the next few day. There’s no need to over due it though. Pace ourselves….
Single You Out: Little Vic – Glass Home
Little Vic is back with a new single that may actually symbolize the birth of a new project, White Devil. But regardless, this joint is simply vicious. The flow is nasty and really dominates every aspect of this song.
I was all about the punchlines then the wordplay grew up / If the cake is worth the candles then bring your birthday suit…
I will let you know if hear ANYTHING else about an album. You know I am waiting.
Single You Out: Grand Opus – Cen Cal Profile (ft. Planet Asia, Fashawn, and Overcome)
If you are not familiar with Grand Opus, it’s about time you get familiar. Grand Opus is comprised of Joc Scholar and Centric. They dropped two incredibly singles last year and this, their third, hmeans their new album, Forever, is around the corner. Dropping on March 22nd.
Their sound is ill and this time they bring in the mix a couple of heavyweights in Planet Asia and Fashawn.
Get ready…
