LX-Beats drops some smooth violence with this new single featuring Mayhem, Alyssa Marie, Revalation, and Deacon The Villain on the mic. You also get track-blesser, DJ Grazzhoppa, chopping up the cuts on the joint. The production is laid back and mellow, which leaves the emcees to each fire off reasons why they are not to be tested. All of the bars are dope, but Rev really brings a ton of intensity to his verse, only to be contrasted with the slick bars of Deacon The Villain. There’s lots to like about this joint!
Single You Out: Little Vic – Stray Missles
Stray Missles is a track from Little Vic’s latest compilation project, Wikileaks. This track features a random assortment of fire from Little Vic’s arsenal as doe the project in it’s entirety. We’ve been featuring music from Vic from the beginning and that’s not stopping anytime soon. The project is $5 and is a veritable steal for hip-hop connoisseurs such as myself.
Single You Out: The Flying Dutchman – Waterboard
The Flying Dutchman just released an album, Foul Weather, on Friday entirely produced by professional head-knocker, Vanderslice. In addition to Vanderslice, the team is comprised of emcees John Murdock and Lex Starwind. In addition to bars from those two, you also get a dope verse from Cappadonna. The sample used by Vanderslice is nasty, and I love that beat.
If you like those hard rhymes and banging beats, you need to get your hands on this release.
Ren Thomas – I Been Nice (Video)
Ren Thomas has a new project that’s dropping soon hosted by Lord Sear. Thomas is a vastly underrated lyricist who I think is primed to take the scene by storm. You can see what happens when you pair his lyrical talent with the production levels of Pete Rock. I mean this track is sensational. Special props to Skrewtape for directing the ill video too. The visuals were really well done.
Kamala – Online College (Video)
KAMALA is back with some more illness in the form of the video single, Online College. DJ Ready Cee, El Gant, and Parakahn bring ridicule to your higher educational moments with this joint and it’s done in the freshest fashion possible so you don’t mind being insulted. Lyrically superb and production approved! Now all we need is a full length project…or a project of any length. I’ll take that too.

I am always interested in new music from V-Zilla. He has put out a handful of albums and side projects over the years and all have been exceptional. This collaboration with fellow Texan, Zeke Lopez, is no different. Actually, in all honesty, it very well may be some of his best work.

We featured this single a couple of weeks ago and this joint from K-Hill and Precyce Politix continues to deserve recognition in it’s video format. The emcees combined with the production from D.R.U.G.S Beats are out to prove a number of points. My main take away? Don’t be confined in another man’s box…
Single You Out: Spit Gemz – Violence Revisited
Spit Gemz is dropping a mixtape, See Me When I Die, on Christmas Day no less! So we are all getting a gift this year! Violence Revisited showcases Gemz rhyming over a DJ Skizz instrumental from his project from a few years ago, BQE. In my mind, this was the dopest beat off of the project, and Gemz kills it unlike anybody else…violently.
M-Dot – Dreamscape (prod. By Marco Polo) (Video)
M-Dot is really building the anticipation for his forthcoming album, EgO anD The EneMy, which is due in two parts, the first of which is slated to drop January 27th of next year. It seems like a ways a way but it will be here sooner than we know it.
M-Dot really does get diabolical and creates a blood bath over the Marco Polo production. I mean when they suggest someone is ‘bringing the pain’…this is what they mean. The duo is taking the listener into the torture chamber for this one. The production and the lyricism transport you into the chaotic mind.

La Coka Nostra – Dark Day Road (Video)
La Coka Nostra (Slaine and Ill Bill) is back with a new album that dropped yesterday, To Thine Own Self Be True. And this is one of many bangers that you will find on the album. The ill lyricism and the production are for everybody, but this video has a darkside about it that maybe your brain shouldn’t wrap itself around. It will take you to a dark place for about three minutes, and it may take a second to get yourself readjusted after watching it.
But do yourself a favor and purchase the album for some unrelenting dope!
