This is a pretty hot line up right here spitting some heat over a Max Marciano beat. Daniel Son, Crimeapple, and Pounds go in and show why they are all rising to the top in today’s hip hop scene. Flames!
Sorry I Slept: Ekspan – Utterly Disgusted (2016)

I haven’t done one of these features in a minute because to be honest I really don’t have the time to go back and check out older releases unless I just happen to stumble upon them.
Well that happened, somehow, when I came upon this excellent album from Ekspan entitled, Utterly Disgusted. And I mean EXCELLENT. The production is entirely superlative and the wordplay and flows are well beyond what we are seeing for the most part today.

Single You Out: Ras Beats – And I Say (ft. John Jigg$)

Now this track is just all kinds of well-rounded type dope! John Jigg$ teaming up over some Ras Beats rhythms?! Shit got all types of filthy on this track. This beats is among the hardest I have heard in 2018. The drums are ridiculous and Jigg$ spits nothing but flames.
This song is the second installment of a year round EP that Ras Beats has cooking so check back in a couple of months to hear the newness but enjoy this for now.
Benny x 38 Spesh – Paper Trail (Video)
More fire from the collaborative album, Stabbed & Shot. Spesh and Benny deliver the stories of making that money and keeping it clean regarding all type of hustling. It’s dope street knowledge delivered over a mellow beat from 38 Spesh.
If you haven’t copped the album yet, you are just plain missing out.
Single You Out: Gary Rue – Dreams (ft. Recognize Ali x Jon Buell x DJ Trickalome)

Gary Rue has announced a new project and if it is anywhere NEAR as good as the last we are all in for something dope!
That being said, this new single really speaks for itself. It’s got an incredibly raw and intense sound that was laid by much respected producer, Sultan Mir. Plus you got some pretty tough wordplay alongside Rue with Recognize Ali (not many names hotter than this one right now) and Jon Buell. DJ Trickalome then add some ill scratches to make this cut standout all the more.
Really excited to hear this project which I was told will be dropping in June.
Cayoz – Fire & Ice (Feat. Phoenix Pagliacci) (Video)
Cayoz gives us the visual to his latest track Fire & Ice. He puts picture to canvas so to speak as he narrates the intimate complexities of being in a relationship with someone of the opposite personality and demeanor.
Very few give music this kind of depth, that’s why continue to showcase his talents as an artist.
Keep checking back with HHD for more music from Cayoz!
Single You Out: ShortFyuz – Not For Nothing (ft. Sean Price)

This cut, Not For Nothing, is lifted off of ShortFyuz’s album, Lostsol, which is out now. Of course the highlight here is that the track has bars from Sean Price, which is a treat in and of itself. But the whole track is dope with some smooth production underneath that Price heat we are all very familiar with.
Check out the album. A lot of dope guest spots on there, and if ShortFyuz’s production is anything like this throughout the album, then we are in for a treat. I will most certainly be checking it out.
Single You Out: Estee Nack x PhybaOptikz x Flashius Clayton – Bulletproof (Prod. The Historian)

First off, Estee Nack, is on an absolute tear right now. I don’t think a weak goes by without hearing a new song that he’s either done, or featured on. And they are all dope! His sixteen on this The Historian beat is just filthy, but PhybaOptikz and Flashius Clayton also deliver on the verbals. All around dope cut.
Everyone on this cut is a name you should be paying attention to. More dope is likely on it’s way.
Single You Out: Main Flow x Mil Beats – Sound Of Silence (ft. Ania)

This is the title track from Main Flow and Mil Beats’ forthcoming project, Sound Of Silence, which is due out next Friday, April 27th.
This track is has a certain eeriness to it as Simon and Garfunkel hip hop flip on the chorus by Ania. The production from Mil Beats is like a walk going down a dark path, and Flow’s leading the way alluding to the stories that we simply don’t talk about.
Single You Out: John Jigg$ – Self-Made

John Jigg$ spits some new heat on this his latest single, Self Made, produced by Overlord Stone. The cadence and delivery on this cut is really hard yet super precise. It’s like a hot knife cutting through butter. This joint bumps nicely, and may be one of my favorites
