Abyss invites Apathy to drop bars alongside him over this Teddy Roxpin banger. Definitely a hype track. Looking forward to hearing more from Abyss in the future and becoming more familiar.

Production team Soulslicers are starting to make flames again and I for one am so very thankful for their return. And lookie-lookie who they’ve got to drop some dope bars over their incredibly dope beat…yes, none other than M-Dot.
M-Dot drops the tale of adolescent revenge against a once abusive teacher manifested in adulthood. It’s not something you hear every day. Dope concept. Dope execution.
I can’t wait for the project!

I RARELY will throw up an album like this without doing a full review but this is something I felt like I needed to make people aware of on the quick. Pressure Cooker is the new project from emcee Daniel Son and producer FutureWave, and the project is blazing from start to finish. EVERY track hits its mark really making this album pretty close to perfect. I really couldn’t find one flaw.

N.B.S. is a duo known for dropping that boom-bap shit and this time they link up with none other than Tragedy Khadafi. The three emcees add some lighter fluid to an already hot production from DJ Tray.
You can find this joint and a host of other dopeness on the their latest album, SwissVets2.
Snowgoons drop Black Snow 2.0 tomorrow which is a reworking of the original release from five years ago. The album is 36 tracks deep and is loaded with boom-bap and symphonic goodness. This is just a taste featuring member, Sicknature.
New Jedi Mind Tricks album is coming our way on June 22nd and best believe it will be one of the most anticipated albums of 2018. No one in independent hip hop has quite the following as does Vinnie Paz and Stoupe. They’ve been rocking it for two (or nearly two) decades…delivering lauded production and hard -hitting lyricism. The recipe hasn’t changed as you can tell from their single here, San La Muerte. Vinnie is keeping funeral homes filled over a Stoupe banger.

New single from collaborators, Sareem Poems and Ess Be from their forthcoming project, Mind Over Matter, which will be dropping in June. The duo links up with accomplished Detroit emcee, Finale.
The premise of the song reveals how shallow we as a society we have become our endeavors and seemingly put an increasing importance on ourselves and not on those around us.
The release of The Last Emperor and Haak Filmore’s Jungle Jim Season 1 really caught me by pleasant surprise. While I knew the project was dropping sometime in 2018, I had no idea that it was coming last week. I just gave it a complete listen this morning, and it’s completely DOPE! Exceeds expectations especially for an artist that hasn’t dropped anything in a minute.
This video is pretty indicative of the quality sound you are going to get from the project as a whole. It’s steepened in hip hop roots but remains very fresh. The track features Da Bruze Brovaz.
Check it out and cop the album it’s a must have!
This is a pretty hot line up right here spitting some heat over a Max Marciano beat. Daniel Son, Crimeapple, and Pounds go in and show why they are all rising to the top in today’s hip hop scene. Flames!

I haven’t done one of these features in a minute because to be honest I really don’t have the time to go back and check out older releases unless I just happen to stumble upon them.
Well that happened, somehow, when I came upon this excellent album from Ekspan entitled, Utterly Disgusted. And I mean EXCELLENT. The production is entirely superlative and the wordplay and flows are well beyond what we are seeing for the most part today.
