This song started off pretty laid back but then Aileron had to go in a little deeper with his verse giving you some real shit to contemplate. The vibe and the hook are all pretty mellow, so you can lean back, chill, and then contemplate on how your day should go. This is a good cut to listen to on my way to work…it ain’t that serious.

PRhyme is comprised of DJ Premier and Royce Da 5’9″ and they are about to unleash a righteous fury on December 9th with their self-titled album dropping. This cut is very much a teaser. Enough so that you may yell at the computer screen because it ended all too quickly. But it’s a great combination to say the least. We will have something to look forward to for the holidays.
I’ve been sitting on this video from Buggs Tha Rocka but now it’s time to unleash this new talent on the site. The song Bad Habits has that church/blues feel to it and Bugs is pretty crafty with his wordplay. “The only rapper to pull the sword out the stone.” The man’s lyricism is pretty ambitious but the talent is there to back it up. He will have a new album entitled Scattered Thoughts Of An American Poet. That will be made available to the public on December 4th.
Stryfe drops the video from his latest EP, Rare Form, Vol. 1 . This man always combines intelligence and rawness in his music, and thusly is constantly winning. He is the consummate emcee. Make sure you check out his music and the interview I did with him earlier this year.

Watch and recognize that true lyricism is still alive and well today. My inbox is 90% of the time a dreary wasteland comprised of cookie cutter emcees rocking over less than stellar recycled rhythms but uMaNg and B.B.Z. Darney are offering us something different. The production is potent in it’s rawness and uMaNg gives us a true demonstration of not only what it is to be an emcee but also a rhyme writer extraordinaire.
We are all on notice that his album, The Black Rose Certificate, is dropping November 25th.
Oh shit. I missed this. V-Zilla and Lawrence Arnell tear the house down with their single, The Excellence. And let me tell you this, I have never heard of Juan Muteniac but if his productions are remotely on par with this beat, I need to go get that discography immediately. That beat is homicide. Some vicious flows over the perfect rhythm makes this a must listen.

The Animal Pak is a nine man collective who unite on this track to set the official definition of the term ‘posse cut’. If I had to pick a favorite verse I would put it on Senica Da Misfit on the strength of that Jodi Arias line. But good gravy each of these emcees sets this mic ablaze.

Goldini Bagwell is anything but ordinary, as a matter of fact, he may be the most artistic emcees I have ever come across. That artistry comes across in his music and in these videos. In all honesty, I didn’t know what was happeneing until the very end, so a credit to the director and the artist on this one. Really brilliant work. Easily a candidate for video of the year.

I missed this track from the Creative Juices’ camp when I was on my move back to Virginia. Jise narrates a story about a man who has fallen in life over a melancholy (yeah, I said it) Q-Unique beat. The track is of of the the forthcoming album, The Passion Of Jise which every head should be checking for.
Damn this song is addictive. Once it starts playing, I just can’t get it out of my head. It’s the hypnotic type of hip hop. The Other Guys go in on discussing money matters with their latest video, 15 Cents. So if you can whistle, you might find yourself along for the ride more often than not once you listen to this song.
