This joint sounds sooooo good to me. There’s always a lot of depth in a Homeboy Sandman’s music simply because of his unorthodox flow but if you couple that fact with this Paul White production then you have the sureshot. Their new collaborative project, White Sands is out now.
Macabeats x Cool FD – Pardon My French Intro (Video)
Here’s a video single from the Orleans, France and Baltimore , Maryland collaboration, Pardon My French. Macabeats handles the M-I-C while Cool FD is the man in charge of the boards. The album is made up of that dusty, jazzy, boom-bap that heads around the world will appreciate, so make sure you cop that!
Grieves – Shreds (Official Video)
Grieves makes some GREAT music. This song is just another testament to that. Shreds also gives us some great visuals. It’s not your typical low budget ‘sitting-on-your-front-porch-rapping’ type of steez. His new album, Winter & the Wolves drops on March 25th.
Mic Blaque – The Art, The Cool (Prod. by A.D. Liles) (Video)
I was peeping Mic Blaque’s newest release, Respect The Cool, because I just got a PR release for it (a few months late but whatever). This is the first track from the project and I knew instantly that I had to feature this joint. When I went searching, I saw that there was a video for this and it was a no-brainer to share. This track has a high dope factor. I played it so loud I saw my next door neighbor bobbing his head to the beat. I like the way the track just keeps building the ferocity. Hopefully you like it as much as I do.
The Narcicyst – Average Type (ft. Meryem Saci) (Video)
I missed this video when it dropped a few weeks ago. This song is lifted and visualized from The Narcicyst’s new EP WeAreTheMedium which is available for Free Download (so why not?) I always find the man’s music and videos compelling and interesting. Also Meryem Saci shows that she’s just not another pretty face (or your average type, haha)…the girl packs a verbal arsenal. Dope song.
Reckonize Real – Beyond Recognition (ft. Reks, Mayhem & ToneDeff CuTz) (Video)
I featured the single for this cut about four months ago but now we get the video single and of course we will share that too. This is in my opinion the best track off of Reckonize Real’s album, Dopamine. Mayhem and Reks rip on a very addictive rhythm. It’s a song you can play over and over without it getting old.
Muneshine – Boom Goes The Dynamite (Video)
It’s a dope new track from producer/emcee, Muneshine. The production from Presto is flammable and the rhymes make you want to get up and go get it (whatever “it” might be for you). It’s certainly high energy and can be found on Muneshine’s forthcoming album, IN TRANSIT. The visuals are also very well done, I must say.
Spit Gemz – Serpents (ft. G.S. Advance) (Video)
Spit Gemz brings back some music from one of my personal favorite mixtapes, Welcome To Hellzgate. I can listen to that album time and time again and it’s nice to see him continue to give those joints the special video treatment though I am not fond of the serpents…tough track though.
C-Rayz Walz – STIMULI (I’m Ready) (ft. L.I.F.E.Long, John Robinson & Jasiri X)
C-Rayz Walz has been making GREAT music for a LONG time. I think his music has been going under the radar though lately, and it’s up to us fans to spread the word. Stimuli reunites two founding members of the Stronghold family, Walz and L.I.F.E. Long. Their spittery is incredibly polished. John Robinson then adds his laid back approach to the mic while Jasiri X plays the anchor and ends the rhyme salvo with a furious sixteen.
If you are not in the know, Walz has released a new project entitled: ALMIGHTY: The Solar Facts There are so many ill bars on the project that you can just set aside your abacus and forget the count. Enjoy!
Dyverse The 1st – Me No More (ft. Flo Simpson) (Video)
The homie Dee Metto is always informing me of some good music out there and the same holds true when put the word out on this Dyverse The 1st track, Me No More. Joe Paps injects a little bit of soul into the boom bap to create this joint. A little bit of old school flavor in the new school era.
