Single You Out: Goldini Bagwell – Let’s Grow (DaiN Remix)
Getting back into the regular swing of things and unleashing more Sandpeople goodness. I missed hearing Goldini Bagwell in 2012. After hearing Chainsmoke in 2011, I was anxious to hear more material, but alas 2013 is upon us and he has more tunes to offer us but before he get to his new album, Second Hand Smoke, we get to hear this new remix from the aforementioned album by DaiN.

Famoso gets no days off as he drops the lead single to his upcoming mixtape, dropping in a few weeks, Audio Dope. That project is a precursor to his album, Tales From Tha’ Dopeside which is slated for 2013 release. Famoso is known for dropping that street mentality through raw lyricism and that methodology holds true for this latest cut. He merelay paints a picture of his surroundings. Tuesday Promo: Roc Marciano – Reloaded
Similar to what we did for Sean Price’s Mic Tyson album a couple of weeks ago, we will do with Roc Marciano’s album, Reloaded this week.
Marciano has kept dropping fresh material all the way up the release of this highly anticipated album and rather have you back track and find all those tracks he put out…we are going to put them all in one post. The first three tracks are singles released for the album, the remainder are just loose tracks he has put out in the last couple of months. Then end result: Hopefully you will cop the album!
Virtuoso – Authentic (Video)
Big Virt back on his grind, this time doing work in Bogota, Colombia. The self ascribed “half rocket scientist, half caveman” is putting out a new album produced entirely by the Snowgoons. The album will be entitled, CoVirt Operations – Infantry. This joint is produced by J-Beat and has big strings and big drums to go along with Virtuoso’s flow.
KemiKAL – Built For This (Video)
It is easy to get slept on but KemiKAL turned my ear his way with this nice flow and delivery. I received 30 emails today and this was one of the few good ones. Tough to stand out…but not impossible. I hope to hear more from this artist.
PLAYDOUGH – King Of Queens (Video)
Playdough is one of the most searched artists on this site. His previous album, Hot Doggin’, gets a ton of love from fans.
This song is coming off his new project dropping on 10/22 entitled Writer Dye: Deux or Die. This track is one half Queen/Run DMC montage and one half hip hop but entirely dope. I enjoy Playdough’s style. He’s a unique artist who’s not afraid to take some artistic chances.
Friday Feature: illMEASURED x ill Conscious – The Essence
I was specifically saving this track for this feature. This was originally released about a month ago as, ill Conscious’ title track from his forthcoming album that goes by the same name. This is also the perfect illustration for why I am featuring illMEASURED in the first place. His places samples are in succinct timing for this uptempo banger. I also really enjoy how the production is very vibrant. There is something very alive with this track that is certainly accentuated by ill Conscious’ dope flow and lyrical content. He is a really talented emcee. Great debut for him as well as being the perfect continuation of our September feature for illMEASURED. This is indeed the essence of hip hop…
BROKE SAFETY – I’M ILL feat GEORGE BURNZ (Video)
This is a dope video! It goes to show you that you can put together a dope video with being creative with your lighting and different backdrops. It’s a little crazy, but I like it.
