Kap Kallous brings you the video for the track, Hush, which is coming off of his project, I Should’ve Kept My Mouth Shut. A lot of dope visuals released today from artists and this is no exception. If you like this track, make sure go check out the album and support.
Sketch – Virginia Tec-9 (Video)
Aaaaah hell! The DMV is not stopping! This is one of my favorite tracks so far this year. Sketch is new to me but he does mass amounts of damage on microphones. J-Scrilla is not to me and you would have to be deaf not to feel this one. The visuals dropped a couple of weeks ago but I was out of commission. so enjoy. Also be on the lookout for that album in July. I am really looking forward to it.
Laelo Hood – Cool ft. Pro’verb and Lyriciss (Video)
What area is putting in more work than the DMV right now? Laelo Hood just adds to the dopeness with fresh visuals for the cut, Cool, which is featured on Laelo Hood’s most recent album, Fuck The World. This cut is really on point. I liked it from the moment I first heard it. The window they put together is equally is nice. The whole 70s vibe with the two pane video is definitely a good look.
King Magnetic – Watch Out ft. General Steele, Esoteric, Ali Arms, Godilla, Jus Allah, Vinnie Paz (Video)
It’s hard to put together a doper line up than the one you will find on this track, but King Magnetic is the show stopper. He rarely gets outshined on posse cuts. If you are interested, you can cop the digi-single on Itunes.
CF – Forever ft. Dontique (Video)
Ok, I am on my Creative Juices Music grind. IDE has been talking about this artist CF for about a month now, really promoting his album, Storm Mode. I took it all in stride, expecting it to be good but not really giving it much else thought. It dropped on Itunes yesterday and for $6.99, I copped. It wasn’t good, ….it was PHENOMENAL. This guy is intense. He’s got an intense delivery and focus on every subject that he touches on. I hope to be able to do a full review soon but for no enjoy the video for the cut Forever ft. Dontique.
Soul Khan – Soul Like Khan (Video)
Soul Khan blesses us with one more visuals from his debut while at the same time dropping a new EP entitled Acknowledgement. You can stream the EP below and if you want to support (which again, you should) you can purchase for $4
Awar – My Story (Video)
This is the second song off of Awar’s recently released, DJ Booth sponsored, Things Of That Nature EP. I realize that Awar is not a household name to most, but don’t mistake him for a rookie. Awar has been paying his dues for some years. I haven’t heard the entire EP yet but what I have heard has been of the highlest caliber. He has great storytelling ability and his words come from deep inside. Artistry in the truest form. The production on this joint comes from Frank Dukes.
Ill Bill x Vinnie Paz – Blood Meridian Video)
This video is coming off of Ill Bill and Vinnie Paz’s collaborative effort entitled Heavy Metal Kings. And while this is not my favorite track from the album (please see Impaled Nazarene and Children Of God) this is still a really dope song and the video is really ill. The whole album is arguably my favorite thus far in 2011 and destined to wind up being reviewed. If you like dark, grimy, and intelligent hip hop then you will love Heavy Metal Kings.
Awar – Soul Caliber (Video)
I am not sure what project this will be on. I will try to find out. It has been a long time since I have heard some new Awar music and I am anxious to hear a new album. This cut doesn’t help me with anticipation. This track and video fall in the beyond real category. The story to this track is definitely something for folks to feel. The track is produced by the venerable M-Phazes. Stay tuned for more music from Awar.
