Cayoz delivers us another heater with an assortment of ill emcees. It’s a unique blending of Baltimore styles with Ill Conscious, Raf Almighty, and Bamboo each spitting some ill sixteens. Its actually these diverse stylings that make this track all the more interesting. We’ll, that and the underutilized OZee’s production.
Single You Out: M-Dot – Days Are The Same (prod. Hi-Tek)
This is by my count the third single from M-Dot’s forthcoming project, egO anD The eneMy. And as of right now, this is my favorite track out of bunch of great songs. Days Are All The Same features some absolutely brilliant production from Hi-Tek. The integration of the “organ feel” and that killer sample usage is simply brilliant. M-Dot knows what to do with a beat like this. He narrates tales where each day is a grind and a repetition of the last. We are slaves to convention and the monotony of it all. Struggling to keep up with the Joneses.
Single Yout Out: C-Rayz Walz – The Sound Of Guns (ft. Echo 1 x Dro Pesci x Oktober Zero)
C-Rayz Walz, independent hip hop artist, and legend if you ask me, has a new project out, Bad Fame: Music To Run With. The project dropped a few days ago, and it’s really dope. But in particular I am enamored with this J-Scrilla produced gem that features, Echo 1, Dro Pesci, and Oktober Zero. It’s just a banging track and that snaking sample Scrilla uses is sooooo on-point!
Single You Out: The AbSoulJah – Normally
If you follow the site, then you know we rep a few artists pretty hard due to their consistency in dropping gems. The AbSoulJah is one such artist. If there was one artist that I thought typified that NYC Golden Era sound, it would be Ab. The way he spits. The production he uses. They both smack of that vintage boom-bap.
With that being said, Ab and producer Alf (yeah I’m not sure about the name), dropped a new project around Thanksgiving entitled, RealCore. You should hear what I am hearing if you give the album a spin.
Here’s some flavor from the album, Normally.
Single You Out: Sleep Sinatra x Phantom Janitor – Gospel Of the Last Dayz
I was merely looking for some new dope to post on the site and low and behold I stumbled upon Sleep Sinatra and Phantom Janitor’s project, Sleep Meets The Phantom. It’s a short project, but it’s potency rests not in it’s length, but in it’s quality.
I thought I would share a stand out track from the project, Gospel Of The Last Days.
Single You Out: DJ KB – Hell Ground (ft. Mark Deez & Kanis Lu)
DJ KB, a producer out of Germany, dropped an album in September that I think has completely gone under the radar. Dismember has a lot of dope features with some of that essential boom bap that we are always looking for. The samples that are chopped in throughout the project also show an ear for good craftsmanship.
I think the track, Hell Ground, featuring Mark Deez and Kanis Lu is typical for the type of tracks you will see throughout the rest of the album. Enjoy…
Single You Out: Bankai Fam – Urge2Purge
Bankai Fam is back with a new project called Civil War which is a consistently dope, 19 Track, mixtape. Bankai Fam has consistently dropped dope projects over the course of the last few years, most of them solo work. Now the group united for a full project for the first time since On My Side which dropped in 2013.
The track we are featuring here, Urge2Purge, is indicative of the dope cuts you can find across the board. The team is severing heads on this one and I strongly encourage you to cop the album.
Single You Out: Ras Kass – Amerikkkan Horror Story, Pt. 1 & Pt. 2
Wow. I am so glad Ras Kass dropped something with regards to the election because he is the absolute right person to articulate what happened and what this means for our country. This is not only the most powerful song of this election period, but perhaps for the last several years. He addresses the apathy of not voting in the election. He addresses the hate different segments of the population used when it came to voting. In the end, it was hate that inspired and apathy that derailed.
“Trump won with less votes than McCain and Romney who both lost, so blame yourself when your Civil Rights get fucked off!”
“Claim to be the beacon of the world, Liberty’s Flame, you just a nation of bigots, we should all be ashamed.“
Single You Out: OnlyOne – Toxic

I didn’t realize that Only had dropped a new project until Illmaculate put it out there on Twitter. But once I found out about Royalties, I was all over it. There’s something about this guy’s rhyme style, cadence, and delivery that I identify with. He’s got a unique way of flipping words and meanings. Then you’ve got production from Chase Moore all over the project. His ear for beats and samples is impeccable, as he concocts nothing but winners. You can hear that victory on this track, Toxic.
If you find it dope, drop by the Bandcamp, show some love and pick up the album.
Single You Out: LX-Beats – Born To Win (ft. Mayhem, Alyssa Marie, Revalation, Deacon The Villain, DJ Grazzhoppa)
LX-Beats drops some smooth violence with this new single featuring Mayhem, Alyssa Marie, Revalation, and Deacon The Villain on the mic. You also get track-blesser, DJ Grazzhoppa, chopping up the cuts on the joint. The production is laid back and mellow, which leaves the emcees to each fire off reasons why they are not to be tested. All of the bars are dope, but Rev really brings a ton of intensity to his verse, only to be contrasted with the slick bars of Deacon The Villain. There’s lots to like about this joint!
