Jeffrey iLL is another new name here on HHD, but let me tell you WHY we are featuring him. Not too many people are putting out that dusty, jazzy hip hop vibe anymore, and if they are, they aren’t doing a good enough job. This guy is talented. He’s got a nice flow that just meshes with the horn on here. It’s quality material. He’s got an EP called, Eternal Pursuit dropping in three days so if you are a hip hop purist, pick this up!
Single You Out: Apaulo Treed & Knightstalker – Defcon 2 (ft. Maffew Ragazino) (prod. by Romeo)
Oooooh…damn…damn…love the James Bond sample that gets laced throughout the production. And all the emcees spit some heavy bars. Apaulo Treed and Knightstalker’s album dropped yesterday, so consider purchasing this if you like those dark and heavy rhythms. For my part,….this shit sounds tight…
Their album, The Last Line Of Defence is available as of today!
Single You Out: Red Eye – Sample Sized Genocide (ft. Marvalyss & Midaz) (Prod by MoSS)
A beast, that’s what Red Eye is when he gets behind the microphone. I have no idea where this track is destined but for now I am just grateful for it’s appearance. Also logging mic duties for this track are Marvalyss and MidaZ. MoSS hooks up the production and don’t think I didn’t notice that Natural Elements vocal loop. Let these youngsters know!
Single You Out: Siyah & Billy James – Outside In (Prod. by Bonobo)
This is what it’s all about folks. I created HHD for artists like this. Siyah and Billy James are some young and upcoming artists from Morganton, North Carolina and there ain’t nothing wrong with that. These guys have a great flow and demeanor on the microphone. The beat from Bonobo is exceptional. I love the loop he uses. All in all it’s a great cut. So be on the lookout for these young men in the near future. It’s evident that they understand what good hip hop is and are set on making it.
Single You Out: Reks – Trust Us (ft. Bishop Lamont) (prod. by Numonics)
Reks put the release of Revolution Cocktail on ice until February 26th, but he did release this Numonics produced gem featuring Bishop Lamont. As per usual, Reks delivers on point lyricism, this time with a political flair. Can’t wait for the project…
Single You Out: Peter Leo – See The Judge (ft. Nutso)
Peter Leo is keeping up his collision course with success. This is three successive dope singles from the man and this is the one that bangs the hardest. But what can you expect when he teams up with the man, Nutso? Nutso gets the utmost respect on HHD. That’s an emcee’s emcee right there. DJ Supa Dave claims responsibility for this banger.

Single You Out: Cyrano Sinatra – Trouble (ft. Skyzoo & Trife)
New joint from the emcee Cyrano Sinatra and producer Centric. Trouble features guest rhymes from Skyzoo and Trife. Centric lends a banging, yet slightly funky, production to cover all the auditory bases. Sounds dope by all my standards. Sinatra and Centric have a collaborative project dropping, Back 2 Lyfe. As of yet, there is no said date.
Single You Out: Ruslan – Ready For The World (ft. Lecrae and Chris Cobbins)
I first peeped Ruslan’s music when I head his collaboration with Blame One and Braille entitled, Domesticated. That was a really dope record. More recently, Ruslan dropped an album today entitled Carry On, and this is one of the lead singles for the project. It’s quite soulful and I think you will feel the uplifting vibe.
Single You Out: Real Talk – From Here to There (prod. by Miami Beat Wave)
I have never heard of Real Talk, but Miami Beat Wave I know so I was bound to check this out and what I heard was one hot track. Miami Beat Wave always brings their unique brand of production and Real Talk showed ‘really’ well. They had some hot lines and an overall dope lyrical flavor.
This track can be found on Real Talk’s EP, Louder Than Words.

Single You Out: Fundamental – Kill ‘Em
Well, here’s something that I consider concealed dope from the black hole known as my ‘inbox’. The track fuses great production and some tight rhyme schemes. Really feeling this…
Fundamental is an emcee and producer from Toronto. And this track is his from front to back. He spits the bars and crafts the beat. Very nice work indeed.
This track is a part of his upcoming mixtape, Expected Everywhere: Vol. 2.
