Here’s another secret locked in the inbox for way too long.  I have been familiar with Dragon Fli Empire for the past four or five years.  They are known for that laid back and jazzy vibe hip hop.  And everyone know Sadat X (if you don’t, get up and leave your computer now, I need a moment).

In short, this is a dope joint.  The production has the horns buzzing and the emcees all capture the moment for a really chill joint.

This is the first single to the Empire’s forthcoming album, Mission Statement.

Single You Out: Focus… – Just Don’t Know

Oh, you’re not a fan of Focus…?  GTFOH.  Focus… is one of the few artists out there that is an incredible producer and talented emcee and can do so simultaneously.  I can’t think of ten other guys on his level right now.  This beat and his insightful lyricism made me shed a tear of happiness.   This is a single off the forthcoming, FP : 1172 II (which I have no information about.

Remember…sound without Focus…is just noise.

Single You Out: Tha Soloist x Trilian – Words (ft. AWKWORD)

This cut is coming off of Tha Soloist vs. Trilian: Original Script album. That album is really thirteen tracks of straight dopeness.  On this joint you have our World View (album dropping in 2017.  Cheapshot, I know) compatriot Awkword.   This track has a definite “old school” vibe to it as both the producer and the emcees throw it back a bit.   I also want to mention that Trilian (out of Serbia) has been cranking out some bangers this year.  He has another album with this artist, Rated R, that has superlative production.  Definitely stay connected to what this young man is doing.

Single You Out: Lyriciss – Vent (Prod. Numonics)

This is the lead single from J57 and Numonics’ collaborative project, LI FTW, which I had no idea existed until now.  But this has instantly become one of the most anticipated projects this year.   Those two are among the dopest beatsmiths in the here and now.

I also like how Lyriciss is getting the chance to showcase his ability to a wider audience.  He is a very potent emcee and people will start discovering that soon. He rides this beat and does some creative things cadence wise to make it more distinct.  Special shout out for the Quantum Leap line because you truly can’t go back…
