While I try to play catch up and review M-Dot’s latest release, Layer Cake, I thought I would break you off with a single from that project. JoniZ is on the boards.
Single You Out: Shabaam Sahdeeq x Eddie B – Futuristic (ft. Smoke Dza) (prod. by Harry Fraud)
Sometimes there is so much beauty to behold in the most simple of tracks. Harry Fraud does it again. The acoustic guitar and the hand claps lead the way for our emcees to release verbal fury. And I can think of few others that have been on such a roll as Shabaam Sahdeeq. He has been ripping verses better than at any other point in his career. He, Eddie B, and Harry Fraud have a project dropping soon entitled, The Wolves.

Dirt Platoon – Dirty Work (ft. Ruste Juxx) (prod Kyo Itachi) (Video)
New music from Dirt Platoon off their yet to be released collaboration with French producer Kyo Itachi. Ruste Juxx joins the crew and you know how that goes. That man rings bells with his verses. This is a certified street banger!
Single You Out: Critcal – The Difference (ft. Tzarizm)
New music from Creative Juice’s own, Critical. The production on this joint is manufactured by Tzarizm. I love the horns on the track and Critical bodies the beat as he differentiates himself from his ‘competition’ or lack there of. This is another artist that heads need to check for off a very talented roster. This is the first single off his forthcoming Quarantine project. Can’t wait…
Single You Out: Quite Nyce – I’m Feelin Myself (prod. by Soulslicers)
Quite Nyce is set to release his latest EP, Cautious, on June 13th, which is just under a week away. That’s a nice surprise. But what makes it even better is learning that Swiss beatmakers, the Soulslicers, are behind the boards for the entire project! That’s going to make this project extra special. That’s one of my favorite production teams right now.
This song is hot. You gotta love the flow Quite Nyce has on this track and the sample and beat the Soulslicers utilized.
Check It Out
MaLLy & The Sundance Kid – Good One (ft.K.Raydio) (Video)
I must say that this is a highly entertaining video. It is done in the same vain as the Intervention television series on A&E. This song can be found on the duo’s collaborative album …The Last Great. I hope you all check it out.
Ruste Juxx – Termin8 (ft. F.T.) (Video)
Ruste Juxx is a busy man. Busy murking rhythms. This tough track comes off of his and Kyo Itachi’s collaborative effort, Hardbodie Hip Hop.
Single You Out: BURNTmd -Smooth Criminal Part II (ft. Craig G and DJ Grazzhoppa)
New collaborative joint featuring Craig G from BurntMD’s forthcoming album, Not So Black & White. I am excited to hear what this album has to offer. I have been listening to BurntMD for a few years now and my own point of view is that he is severely underrated, which really makes the collabo with Craig G appropriate because I think he has been under appreciated throughout his career.
Swave Sevah – Wordz 2 Live By (2012)

Source: Team Homi
Tracklisting:
1. Words 2 Live By Intro
2. Such A Feelin’
3. I Ain’t The One
4. Stab Wounds

6. Raise Da Bar
7. On Ya Own Two
8. Down (ft. Probe Rok)
9. Step Aside (ft. Killer Mike)
10. Self Defense
11. Cross Hairs (ft. Team Homi)
Note:
Brutal. That is how I would describe Swave Sevah’s style. It’s hard to gauge whether Sevah brings his warrior’s mentality from battling to his music or vice versa. But no one can argue with how dope the end result is. He obliterates bars for his musical efforts and his opponents.
Rome Clientel – My Life’s Like A Movie (ft. Alycat) (Video)
Rome Clientel is skilled. There’s no question about that. As far as the video is concerned? Ain’t nothing wrong with even the hardest of lyricists lounging at the beach. Congratulations to the man, who evidentially just got married. Be sure to check out his latest release The Empire: The Lost Catacombs.
