Producer Keno Beats from Orleans, France keeps breaking me off with the heat! This time he hits us with the “soulful” remix to the track of the same name off of Baltimore S.O.N.’s 2011 album, HisStory (The Autobiography Of Baltimore S.O.N.) And while it’s coming off of an older project, it still delivers that fresh sound!
This ain’t your typical joint regarding love and relationships. F.T. narrates three different verses about three different type of scenarios regarding the ladies. The first thing you will notice is the heatrock production from Musicman. He flips a sample from the Bee Gees that goes by the same name. This song is the type of cut that gets stuck in your head and can’t come out. Intoxicating.
Satchel Page brings in Neek The Exotic and Mic Handz to collaborate on the mic while the break out the wine press for some ‘fine wine’. The beat comes courtesy of French beat maker, Alterbeats. This production is much more smoothed out then I am used to hearing from Alterbeats. I like it. It’s very easy on the ears.
This is the first single off of Wyld Bunch’s new project, UNBREAKABLE. It is dropping June 24th and is entirely produced by DJ Brans. I am expecting big things from that project. If you listen to this track you will be expecting the same…as it features guest emcee Roc Marciano.
Ok. There are components of this song that would make me normally cringe but there is something about Swolf’s flow and lyricism that are captivating. At times he exhibits really superior wordplay, at some points the track (not him) digresses. He’s at his best spitting on the ills of the game and keeping it on that higher level. I think this cut is good enough to share with you so you can make your own decision, plus the homie reps the home state.
This track is from a few days ago, but speed has never been the essence of what HHD is about anyway. Curtessy doesn’t just make a play on the Nas Illmatic cut. It has it’s own identity although they share roughly the same tone and speed. AWKWORD joins Curtessy for a verse as well.

When Emilio Rojas spits about that real life shit you just have to pay attention. Here he speaks on the hypocritical thoughts he is faced with as he contemplates the day when tomorrow never comes. This is just something we can all relate to, or maybe it’s just me. Also, the visuals especially towards the end seal the deal. His album, No Shame, No Regrets, drops on June 11th.
I the single for this song almost a month ago and I neglected to post it. I had it ready to go but just didn’t hit the “publish” button. So J’You gives me a chance at redemption by releasing the visuals for this track. He’s got an up front and in your face flow and delivery that screams IDGAF. I can get down with that. The fam Mister and Blaksmith are back at it again as Passalacqua and currently pushing the edges of hip hop. This track is not the most accessible joint to get into. The beat is a tad abstract and fluctuates regularly. But Mister and Blaksmith have a knack of turning the extraordinary into something to nod your head to.
