Blame One & J57 – They Don’t Know (ft. Akie Bermiss)

Beautiful music.  What can I say that the music isn’t already preaching (no pun intended)?  J57 shows us once again that he is a master of his craft.  This arrangement is perfection.  Akie Bermiss lends a chorus that just takes you on a trip in between Blame One’s bars.  And speaking of those bars:  Blame One has always spoken on spirituality and his beliefs.  If you listen to his past music you will pick up on that.   His message is one of acceptance and blessing.  It isn’t preachy…it’s human.

Walk In The Sun drops on August 27th which seems eons away. But you can preorder it now.

TOPE is back with a brand new single entitled, Family Affair featuring two of Seattle’s most celebrated MC’s Grynch and Spac3man. Produced by TOPE himself, Family Affair serves as the official first single to his new EP,  TROUBLEMAN, available July 9th. Over a classic drum break and Cheryl Lynn sample, TOPE, Grynch, and Spac3man trade bars about what they do best;  being the life of the party.  Good times all around…

Single You Out: Digital Martys – Heavy Grave (ft. Ras Kass)

artworks-000050865224-snnrxi-t500x500

Hip hop is at it’s best when it means something to somebody and when a message is being imparted.  The Digital Martyrs enlist Hall Of Fame lyricist, Ras Kass to discuss politics, society, and the hypocrisy in both.  It’s a tightly woven track all together but it’s hard for anyone to outshine a Ras Kass guest verse.   The Ballad Of The Bullet is the Martyr’s forthcoming full length…be on the lookout.

Single You Out: Blue Legacy x The Militia – Snow Drifts

cfhwz

I had to bump somebody else’s post to get this one up there immediately.  Would it be proper to say that this joint is cold?  Tacky maybe, but proper yes.  I have never heard Blue Legacy spit a single bar before but this joint has me as an instant fan.  Got a real nice flow and The Militia cook up on of those dark, in the shadows, night stalking beats.  You won’t regret checking this.

The free EP, True Fiction, drops next month.

Single You Out: D. Strong – The Knock (ft. Apani B x John Robinson)

This song has got everything.  It’s got a trio of dope emcees.  It has the great production from HHD favorite, SciFi Stu.  It also has the X-Factor in the cuts by Chinch 33.  It’s time people start noticing the gift he has in chopping it up proper.  I find I enjoy pretty much any song where he has a credit.

I am not sure if this is a single for a forthcoming project, but enjoy it any ways…

Burke The Jurke – Pleasant Torment (Video)

This song must’ve been too hard for most blogs to post on.  I honestly can’t believe it hasn’t garnered more attention.  Mr. Green has banging keys on this joint, and Burke The Jurke leaves no bar untouched.  A real sick flow on this track.  I hate to use cliches but what the hell…this joint goes hard.

He has an album dropping called, Ear Responsible with no release date as of right now.  I will be looking for it though.
