Another banger from Jedi Mind Tricks frontman, Vinnie Paz. Scott Stallone and The Czar Keys, lace something with a little rock infusion that sounds really good as Paz unleashes another salvo at the target audience. Definitely a joint you can’t help but nod your head to as you continue to listen. Eamon on the vocals for the chorus that almost gives it a ‘coliseum’ vibe. Fight club music!
Supastition – Look At God! (ft. E.Smitty) (Video) (Short Version)
Supastition is back! And if you don’t know, that means ‘real man rap’ is also back in the building. Supa’s been taking us on the highs and lows of life for over two decades, and on the track, Look At God!, he allows us to see some of what’s at the peak! This short video incapsulates the recognition and resiliency of what needed to be done to avoid serious pitfalls and achieve goals.
He has a new EP which I strongly suggest you all cop on his bandcamp. I am often time indifferent to where we purchase are music (as long as we purchase) but this man deserves direct support, so please go check out an pick up his EP, All That Was Left Unsaid.
Spit Gemz x Nickel Plated – Ice Pick Lobotomy (cuts by Jon Doe ATL) (Video)
No artist has commanded more listening in my music library than Spit Gemz. His discography and talent runs deep. And for me it’s a combination of things. He fuses religious imagery and an extensive knowledge with the street wisdom and creates superlative music. He also has a knack for dope beats, and he’s got a heat rock right here from Nickel Plated, with sinister scratches from Jon Doe ATL. You get it all on the single, Ice Pick Lobotomy.
Be on the lookout for a new offering on June 2nd, as Gemz and Nickel Plated put their feets on the necks of demons once more in the project, Eulogy For The Devil.
Copywrite – Turn The Page (ft. Slug) (Video)
Copywrite and Slug team up for a heart felt and thought-provoking song from the newly released album, The Last Supper. The sample while familiar takes on a different entity in the venerable hands of producer Swab. It’s somber and emotional as the artists have different yet personal perspectives on what it means to Turn The Page.
Copywrite has returned with a great vengeance with this new album that features so many great emcees and producers. Don’t miss out!
Marv Won – Higher (Video)
Marv Won is back with a video single from his recently released stellar album, I’m Fine Thanks For Asking. Higher, has our emcee showing off his skills and sharing his insights over his very own mellow and soulful production. He’s really showing off alot here with a multitude of talents. There are so many gems on this track. Here are a couple:
Niggas be dead wrong / Cuz I ain’t see no accomplishments on the headstone / Just a day of birth and when God told you to head home
It’s cold and heavy, you know how to shovel snow?
Now purchase the album. Thank you!
Single You Out: Gennessee – Lyrical Weaponry (ft. Ruste Juxx)
Oooooof….damn this joint is tough! Teflon tough. I always like showcasing something that might slip under your radar, so here it is…Gennessee featuring Ruste Juxx over a Vinny Idol banger. This joint makes a real statement and just a taste off of the project, Bucktown, that features a host of verses from Duck Down representatives. You’re not going to want to miss this joint or this project.
Napoleon Da Legend & Rhettmatic – The King Walk (Video)
Napoleon Da Legend has ALOT of projects that he’s released over the last several years and always puts out dope music. But this new project with DJ Rhettmatic dropping next week called Legmatic, sounds like it might be a future favorite of mine. The beat from the Beat Junkie is off the richter with the drums and the scratching. Simply knocks hard with hip hop essence. This production really lets Napoleon Da Legend let loose with bars and a flow that truly typify The King Walk.
Single You Out: Edo.G and Tone Spliff – Catch Up

New single from rhyme legend, Edo.G and producer extraordinaire, Tone Spliff. And with Catch Up you have a most excellent vibe. Spliff laces a joint that just kind of stalks the listener, as Edo.G invites you to verbally catch up with what he’s done and doing. Two professionals who are just continually setting the highest of standards.
New project, Audio Edibles, drops on Friday!
Single You Out: Dray Yard – Kalisthenics (ft. Killa Kali, Panama Redd, Deuce Eclipse, Maylay Sage & Tek Tha Supah Latin)

Dray Yard is a producer who is known for crafting boom bap hip hop and creating posse cuts that include emcees of all ilks. Some of them you have heard of before, and others maybe a little lesser known. But everyone gets a chance to shine over premium beats and elite scratches from Mr. Thing.
And true to the track name, Kalisthenics, the emcees here keep it moving over some high powered, and high bpm, boom bap.
Single You Out: K.A.A.N. & DJ Hoppa – Nightmare
K.A.A.N. and DJ Hoppa prepare for the release of their forthcoming project, Delusions Of Grandeuer, which I am very excited about. I have always enjoyed the music from the prolific, K.A.A.N, but hearing him over DJ Hoppa production just elevates the excitement for me. I think the two really bring out the best of each other. Here is the most excellent and final single before the project is released, Nightmare.
