My admiration for John Jigg$ as an emcee is no secret. This guy is an exceptional artist. Here he goes in on some start and ominous production from The Heretic and jxkecregan for a more sinister track. But the result remains the same…flames.
NapsNdreds – Skee Trip (Video)
NapsNDreds has a new album, Super Braff that just released a couple of days ago, that is bound to be flames. I am about ready to pick it up myself. The artist has gone under the radar a bit when considering his talent, because he’s been grinding hard over the last several years with dope projects in tow.
But you can tell from this cut, Skee Trip, that you should not be taking a holiday on this man’s time while he’s bodying beats. Speaking of production, I am a big fan of the harpsichord on this one.
Single You Out: Wais P. & Pete Twist – Coup D’ Etat (ft. Eto)
New joint from the forthcoming album by Pete Twist, entitled Hans Gruber, and I can’t wait to get my hands on that project. For those that don’t know the name, Twist has been crafting bangers for a while most notably in his partnership with Born Unique. I love his body of work, and I am glad he has something dropping with his name on it.
This song with Wais P and Eto, is another example of Twist’s exceptional skill as a producer. It has that dark and ominous feel with the guitar strings giving it that extra touch. And the emcees use their talents almost as a menacing whisper over the track. Really love this song.
Single You Out: Wounded Buffalo Beats – Top Tier Tech (ft. Ruste Juxx x JabbaThaKut)

Yes!!! Wounded Buffalo Beats has to be one of my favorite producers right now. They had one of the best projects out last year in my humble opinion and now we get another heat rock featuring Ruste Juxx. And both these artists DELIVER. Juxx hits you up with some great life lyricism on this one and 20 years of Top Tier Tech. Jabbathakut chopping it up just adds to the song’s brilliance.
Single You Out: Rob Cave – Respect Wildlife (prod. by Small Professor)

Rob Cave and Small Professor connect for some smooth story telling vibes with their new track, Respect Wildlife. It’s a dope narrative of coming up with little but appreciating alot and respecting the order of things and the surroundings. I am sure you will enjoy if….
Don’t choke on your hopes, and heed the advice, be humble in the jungle and respect the wildlife.
Single You Out: Cashus King – Sit Calm (ft. Jeff Johnson II)

Cashus King links up with Jeff Johnson II for a really fun and dope track that lyrically incorporates an assortment of sitcoms from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. And when we use the word “fresh”, this is a track that has appropriate usage. It’s just refreshing to hear a light topic executed in such dope fashion.
Single You Out: Zaza God – Heard You (ft. Pro Dillinger & Grea8Gawd) (Prod. Irie-1)
This song is THE joint right now. Wow. I really feel this jazzy boom bap beat from Irie-1. It really hits hard, yet has a melodic appeal. Zaza God, Pro Dillinger, and Grea8gawd all drop some stellar sixteens, but the opening verse (Is this Zaza God? I am guessing so) is a superlative introduction to this artist. From the jump, after I heard him flip the word “king” I was sold.
This is flames.
Lord Juco & Finn – Gift Of Gab (Video)
Lord Juco and Finn crafted one of my favorite albums of 2021 in Details. It has such a melodic and conversational vibe and you can definitely hear that with the diner talk on Gift Of Gab.
The album is an opus to me in that it’s very unique in concept and in the talent demonstrated. I think it will stand the test of time and people will revisit this album with an “oh wow” perspective. Don’t sleep.
Planet Asia x DJ Jay-Ef – Steel Drums (prod. by Evidence) (Video)
Planet Asia and DJ Jay-Ef have a new album that dropped last week entitled, Cash Or Caskets. And we ALL know (don’t pretend) that anything Planet Asia blesses is certified material. The man has never dropped a wack bar in his life, and his presence on the mic is versatile on so many beats, this time flipping over something mellow from Evidence. This man has lyrics in abundance.
I’m too old to give a fuck about your self-centered suffering
That’s not just a bar, but a life mantra!
Double A.B. – Black Ice (ft. Eto) (Video)
So, I have been a Double A.B. fan for a while, since he was doing work with producer Dub Sonata. I think he’s incredibly talented as an emcees. Well, he’s been on hiatus from making music (at least known to me) for a few years, but he has resurfaced with a new album, Demons, that demonstrates that incredible talent to make dope art remains.
On Black Ice, he joins Eto on site in Rochester, showing that he can continue to spit that slick shit. He has a commanding voice and when paired with Eto’s distinctive verbals, you have a definite winner. Make sure you cop the album!
