Ras Beats and Prestigous link up for this banging new single entitled, Forty. And these come with it in the form of some banging beats, apt lyricism, and on time scratches. You’ve got references to Biggie, 2Pac, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, and Keith Murray and they all play nice together on this track. Definintely a throwback feel with that head not effect.
New dose of music from Guilty Simpson in the form of the video single, Go Where I Please. And this joint is HEAVY on the hip hop with some boom bap chaos ushered in by producer Kount Fif, and some precise cuts from DJ Ragz. And Guilty Simpson just anchors the whole endeavor with some blistering sixteens showing that he’s not the one to move for anybody. He’s the one that moves YOU.
Double A.B. harnesses his talent and fuses with some dope cinematography to create the video single, Ray Liotta. Parallel Thought provides this dusty jazz soundcape, utilizing plenty of horns, to create the perfect canvas for the emcee, as he takes you through a journey of both his mentality and his vision on the streets.
This single can be found on his recently release album, Devils & Drugs.
V Knuckles has a new album and video single out, by the same title, Winter Warfare. This track is an autobigraphical joint that places you in the shoes of the man who came up in the streets of Boston and Cambridge. It is also is a track that fuses the talent with the hustle. It also shows the evolution of man who is now able to take care of himself through his talent and not place his personal well-being on the back burner.
New single out from lyrical powerhouse, El Gant, called Pageants. The cut features other acclaimed talent in the legendary Ras Kass and Marco Polo on the boards. There is a lot of weight on this track so to speak.
The production endeavers to be a little soulful as the emcees forsake the “pageantry” of today’s game for the roots of that made them want to be artists and emcees in the first place.
This single will be found on the upcoming El Gant album, O.S.L.O., which will be out in September!
Unik-Stylez links up with Diabolic for this new Steps Necessary produced single, Talk Mine. The production has that ominous appeal as these talented emcees talk their shit. There’s a lot of great bars here, so keep your ears cued in.
Here’s something new from an artist, Ox Omni, featuring the talented and prolific Rome Streetz who is a feature favorite. This track is found off of his album, Jenesaisquoi. Based on the single here, I think it’s worth a checking out, what do you think!
ZaZa The God…remember this name. This is the second track I have heard from this year and this guy’s got the “it”. He’s got a commanding presence on the mic and he assaults his verses like few others can. The beat selection he is using just bangs and this joint, Bronx, with Almighty Gawdflow is touuuuugh. The production from Tokyio Shrympz delivers this heat with strings and a heavy beat, while ZaZa and Gawdlow with similar styles, body it!
New album on the way and I am going back and checking for his older material!
Allah Preme has been grinding heavy under The Umbrella banner as of late, and I am feeling alot of the man is putting out there. He’s got some heavy hitters out there and it’s about time we start showing the some love on here.
This is a shorter track but no less dope. A quick sixteen over some 29Kill production for the win.
I’ve been sleeping on Boldy James. Not sure why. Not sure what kept me away from his music but I need some redemption here. His album with producer Real Bad Man, Killing Nothing, is a stand out project. And from start to finish it ranks up there pretty high at the midway point for the best of 2022.
This video is probably about or over a month old, but I had to showcase this. Real Bad Man is a stellar producer and deserves more props and credit than he gets. His projects are dope and his skills are in front of you right here. He laces soul with darkness for this venture and Boldy James give you the realness in his unique style as to how he navigates life with snakes in his company.
