The AbSoulJah is a personal favorite of mine. I have been listening to his music for about four years and I am excited to hear his new album dropping in a couple of weeks, Dim The Light. This artist just has all the intangibles to be successful. God just gifts whom he pleases type ish…don’t be hurt you didn’t get blessed.
Pep Love – Hip Hop My Friend (Video)
Pep Love with some new heat off of his forthcoming album, Rigamarole. That is dropping on March 6th I believe. This track sounds good. Really good. Pep Love’s flow on this track is really impressive. I dug it from beginning to end. The video also is pretty fresh. I like how he incorporated different aspects of hip hop visually.
Single You Out: Fatal Lucciauno – Black Hoody Rap (ft. Spac3man)
I’m working on finding out who produced this track right here. This beat is the sureshot! I love way this guitar sample is flipped. Fatal Lucciauno drops some heat here. The whole album, Respect, dropped today. I have given it one listen, and while this is my favorite track of the bunch, the whole album is really solid. You should definitely check it out.
Mister – That That (Video)
Mister is on an impressive run right now. These are some visuals from his latest project, produced entirely by Dr. B, Just So You Know EP. The man simply has a way with words which is a good quality to have if you are an emcee.
Single You Out: Black Marvel – Room 308 (ft. Killah Priest, Whosane, Hell Razah, and Timbo King)
I’ve always been a fan of the music coming out of the Godz Wrath camp. Ciph Barker’s music always stays in rotation, but now I get a chance to hear some new music from Black Marvel. This beat is almost like the the Pied Piper. It just hauntingly leads the listener along. Obviously, by looking at the guest list you can tell this joint bangs. If you like his cut, be sure to check Black Marvel’s solo album which dropped just a couple of days ago, BM Ultra.

Note:
The best part about running this blog is putting people on to new and under appreciated talent. That segues perfectly into introducing you all (once again) to Big O. He’s repping out of Cleveland, Ohio and really giving the city a face for it’s contribution to the independent hip hop scene.
Shaz IllYork – Fly Creature f. Spit Gemz, Carmen Indhira & Starvin B (Video)
I have had a rotten day only to be made better by this new Shaz Illyork and the rest of The Opposition team. This joint is indicative of what The Opposition is bringing to hip hop these days. What exactly is that you ask? It’s hard, yet intelligent rhymes over banging rhythms
Mally x The Sundance Kid – Once We’re Kings (Video)
This is a burner! I forgot how good this song was. It was originally a part of the the duo’s Free On The 15th series and now gets the visual treatment. The beat on this track and Mally’s flow make this an instant favorite.
Just FLoW x MaV – Joey Crawford (Video)
Fresh off their release, Water Break, Just FLoW and MaV bring you some visuals for the best track off of the EP. Joey Crawford is a song that just goes. I like the dark visuals and the “speeding up” of the footage. The duo display great wordplay and chemistry and pretty soon the world will stop playing dumb and get on board with what these gents are bringing to the game musically.
Godilla – Rusty Machete (Video)
I just ran through Godilla’s album, Battle Beast: A Prelude To Human Zoo, and that album really bangs. It’s nineteen tracks deep with three bonus tracks. I am going to give it another listen, but I definitely think it’s worth picking up. Rusty Machete is off the album and is indicative of what you can expect from the rest of the tracks. Enjoy…
