Yeah, like the Brown Bag AllStars say…it’s undeniable. This is a beast of a track featuring three of my favorite emcees, Godilla, Red Eye, and Blacastan. We all know who Tragedy Khadafi is and what he is capable of. The unknown commodity here is Miilkbone. But he sounds nice with his and doesn’t lose a step when the baton is passed to him on the track. King Ramses hit me with some new music. I am not sure who he is or where he hails from but this dude is cranking out some serious music with some serious ambition. He has an album dropping on 4/15/2013 called Making Of Ramses. He is releasing 21 videos leading up to that release. That’s serious! Now I can’t guarantee we will post all of them here because that’s a lot of space dictated to one artist when you are only posting up to five pieces of music a day but we will get a few of them to you. This emcee has a lot of talent and is dropping the bars the way we like em’…RUGGED.
This is a joint that serves as segue between SGT OVER’s projects from last year and Just Putt’s forthcoming Spaceman Judah EP. You know the deal with this duo…tight flows w/o the candy coated lyricism.
Oh you got bars? Nah man…these guys got bars. Any time someone is going to title their song in Latin, you know they are another breed of artist. These two have come serious heat dropping at least 32 bars a piece of street knowledge. These guys (Spark Ly’riq and Manna Maestro) have my attention now. Keep sending me material fellas.
New music from Goldini Bagwell is always a good thing. He’s the most unique member of the Sandpeople camp stylistically. This is the initial single for his forthcoming SecondHand Smoke project. Production comes from Chase Moore and Hippie Sabotage. The track is laid back, yet well written.
Sparkingtin and Soulslicers did it once and they are about to do it again. In 2011 they teamed up to drop The Exit Started It. That EP was tight as hell. I still walk around my house yelling upon occasion….Punch You In The Face For No Apparent Reason! They are going to drop version 1.5 this spring and this joint sounds pretty ill to me. What do you think? I think this beat is going to sprain some necks…
Off of Swollen Members forthcoming album, Beautiful Death Machine. I hope the music is as dark as the title and this song suggests because nobody did darkness better than Swollen Members. This song is eerily reminiscent of a track that might have been heard off of Balance (which is not a good thing…it’s a great thing). It just has that haunting vibe. Also, I know Madchild gets a lot of press, but does anyone else think Prevail’s incredibly underrated?
One of the dopest cuts off of MaLLy and The Sundance Kid’s dope album, …The Last Great which was one of the Ten Best Albums From 2012. I like what they did by integrating different people in the video. That’s fresh.
Another installment of the Pay Day series delivered by SYG while we await Cold Winters and Warm Whiskey 2 dropping on February 21st. Although half of the track is an excerpt of a Rodney Dangerfield stand up bit, the initial musical offering remains dope.
Side Effect has a new project, Flyest On Papyrus, that I will be reviewing in the coming days. But before I put that review to print, I missed this video for the track Cyber Bully and wanted to share it. No matter his locale, Side Effect always brings the A game.
