Single You Out: Planet Asia x Tzarizm – All Jokes Aside
Good gravy! This beat from Tzarizm is unbelievably fresh. I love the guitar samples lay over the drums. It’s a nice change of pace to hear Planet Asia flow over something this unique. All Jokes Aside is just a taste of what’s to come off of their collaborative album, Via Satellite.

Memphis hit me up out of nowhere with this link for the Barangay Captain EP over the weekend and needless to say I am ecstatic to be able to bring this to you guys. Memphis has been putting this project together over the better part of three years. He’s obviously got a lot on his plate being a military man with a family, so consider this project a blessing as it very well may not have seen the light of day. A few of the tracks we have featured here previously and they were all beyond dope. My favorite off of this album is still the Agnes In Wonderland Remix. The beat and the content are unrivaled. We all deal with addictions in some capacity and the way he puts that in perspective is simple special.
The new tracks are Button Hook, Burn, Five Minutes To Midnight, and Fam Bam. You will not be disappointed in the least with the quality of those new sounds. Memphis continues to lace a variety of dope production with his outlook on life.

His response: ‘Not really promoting this as it’s just to tide people over until Beyond The Moniker drops’. Well, he may not be up on promoting but we are here to make you aware of such things. That’s our duty! A few tracks from Cayoz is always worth noting. I am not going to review it track by track. we have featured at least one of these songs previously as a single. But make sure that you DL this for your listening pleasure. What you will find especially dope is the Album Sampler at the end. You are going to hear some snippets of what is sure to be one of the better albums of 2014.
ESH the Monolith – Merica (Video)
ESH The Monolith and The Arcitype put out one of the more memroable EP’s last year, Nightworks. I caught wind of this new video single of Esh’s off of a compilation done by DJ Keal & Hibe entitled, Borderless (which was released back in late 2012). Merica takes all things good and ‘American’ and blasts them in a few bars. Esh is certainly not the musician/conformist.
Snowgoons – Still Real & Raw (ft. M-Dot, Jaysaun, Journalist 103) (Video)
This is the best and toughest song off of the Snowgoon’s latest album, Black Snow 2. The lineup of M-Dot, Jaysaun, and Journalist 103 is the perfect blend of rugged n’ raw and elite lyricism. All three of these emcees need some solo projects though. Desperate need.
Burke The Jurke – The Maloiks (Video)
The highly underrated Burke The Jurke continues to smite you nonbelievers with more dope music. The Maloiks is from his latest album Ear Responsible which is out now and should be listened to at your earliest possible convenience or get buried in the woods!
Born Allah – Fuck Your Favorite Rapper Pt. II (Video)
This is a video from February that I evident ally missed because I KNOW if I would have seen it then, it would have gotten love immediately. There are hoards of people that feel the way Born Allah does, but he put the words to paper and named some names. There’s no reason to be shy about it. It’s about time people got confrontational about the music and culture they love.
I wish I could get a Born Allah and E-Rule full length…(off topic, but on my mind)
Abstract Rude – Kan Of Whoop Ass (Video)
It’s admittedly been a while since I have checked Abstract Rude’s material. He was an artist that I followed quite a bit in the early 2000s but for whatever reason his music just hasn’t made it into my headphones lately. This song though put him right back, squarely into my iPod. I love the underlying bass line of the production in conjunction with Rude’s lively prose.
Single You Out: Rediculous – Kalashnikov and Kush (ft. Shabaam Sahdeeq, El Gant, Famoso, Bekay)
I love the music Rediculous puts out. He always puts out fantastic beats and tags with the elite emcees in the game. In this case, on Kalashnikov and Kush he gets bars from Shabaam Sahdeeeq (has anyone done more work than him in 2014), El Gant, Famoso, and Bekay. That’s one hell of a line up!
Rediculous’ new album, In Response: Dee-Fi, is due out hopefully soon!
